Eduardo Herrera is a very strong 6'0" first baseman from Miami, Florida, who’ve we’ve seen before at events. He has good body life for his frame and looks like a good defensive first baseman. Herrera’s ticket will obviously be his bat, though. In Fort Myers he struggled a bit. We didn’t see as much of this from Herrera during the summer and perhaps he was just trying a little too hard to generate power. He does have very good raw power, and it probably manifests itself much better with a metal bat right now. A switch hitter, when he shortens up his swing and approach and gets the bat head to the ball he's a consistent hard contact guy.

Eduardo Herrera is a 6'0", 215 lb. first baseman from Miami, Florida, who can hit the ball a long way. He is a very strong player with fair actions around the first base bag, and has some arm strength with 79 mph throws. His defensive skills are playable and he shows the ability to improve. Eduardo is a right hitter with a medium stance and a slight rock back load. He shows serious bat speed, and a very short and quick bat path to the ball, although he doesn't get ideal extension out front. He has good balance in his swing with the ability to drive the ball to all fields. Eduardo has very strong hands and knows how to hit. College coaches are always looking for a power hitting first baseman and here is one.
