Switch hitter, much better swing and bat speed right handed, aggressive swing, hits down and through the ball, more rotational left handed. Left field defensive tools, arm strength below average but accurate throws, good routes to the ball.

Lean, athletic, with present strength, great speed underway, 6.48 sixty, uphill throws from OF, gets to balls well, reads ball off bat, slightly open stance, gap to gap hitter, line drive swing plane, solid bat speed, upside to his game. The arm is the only weakness.

Eddie Rush- OF- Westlake HS- McDonough, GA- 6'0"/180. This had to be a tough day for Rush. His best tool is his speed, and he had a leg injury that kept him from being 100%. Rush basically jogged the sixty and still ran a 6.9. He's one of the fastest players in the country and a Georgia track star. The injury also affected his ability to track down balls in the OF and his throws. On the plus side, Rush looks like he has really worked hard on his swing. He has a much better approach with a much quicker bat and he made solid contact. With Rush’s speed and an improved swing, he has a great future. He could be a surprise in the draft, but we think he will blossom at Clemson where he has committed.

Eddie Rush is a 2005 outfielder from McDonough Georgia with a strong athletic build at 6 ft. 0 180 pounds. He ran an outstanding 6.36 in the 60 with long powerful athletic strides. He had a much more improved swing that we haven't seen in the past, with good extension and more bat control. He uses his natural strength and hand speed to get the bat through the zone quickly. He had a very good BP hitting hard line drives to all fields and he hit better during the games with five hits out of six plate appearances. Defensively, He showed decent arm strength with good actions. He showed excellent range and can get to balls most outfielders can't. He showed he can hit high level pitching, combined with his excellent speed and good defensive skills, he is a top level prospect with good draft potential. Eddie has signed with Clemson.

Eddie Rush is a muscular athletic 6'0/175 OF from McDonough, GA. Rush wasn’t supposed to swing the bat at the National due to a broken arm he suffered in March, but he took enough swings to show that he’s gained a lot of strength and bat speed since last year. He’s a powerful 6.45 runner who we got at 3.74 from the right side on a bunt that he stayed in the batter’s box for a while watching. Eddie can run with anyone in the Big Leagues. His arm plays but it's not a strength. He is a good defensive outfielder who can really fly. He should develop into a pro level, highest level college top of the order guy. He won the 100 meter dash title for the state of Georgia.
