2003 World Showcase
Katzman is a strong 1B/3B/P who shows some good baseball skills. He could tone up his body just a little and probably will at the next level. He shows a nice swing and serious power potential at the plate. He seems to have a natural ability to center on the ball and hit line shots with back spin. He has home run power already to the pull side. He looked very good defensively at 1B and made one great diving play there. He may not have the perfect body, but he does show outstanding instincts. On the mound he threw mid 80s in Ft Myers. The fastball showed good life. He also threw a good 74 mph breaking ball and a real good changeup. The changeup was one of the best at the World Showcase with good deception and sinking tailing action. He's a good player and he can pitch at the next level. We really liked him on the hill.
