Marlowe Peter is a 2009 C with a 6'1'', 175 lb. frame from Boise, ID who attends Boise. Lean build, wiry strong, sloped shoulders, athletic look, room for continued development. Showed well throughout weekend, sits low and quiet behind plate, feet work, quick transfer and release, good catch and throw skills, 1.99 pop during workout, moves well to block. Open stance at plate stays short to ball, good approach in games, stays balanced, line drive contact. Excellent student.

Marlowe Peter is a 2009 C/1B with a 6'1'', 160 lb. frame from Boise ID, who attends Boise HS. He has a lanky, lithe build that will naturally continue to fill out. As Peter gets stonger, he has a chance to be a very impressive player. He projects well for the college game and should be followed by D1 programs. Offensively he hits from a square stance and has visible energy when he is in the box. Peter is a spray contact hitter with some bat speed and good hands. He has a nice looking stroke and even creates some leverage that suggests he may hit for a little pop sometime in the future. Peter is a good looking young catcher. He has a nice transfer, is patient with his actions and movments, and has good footwork. He is a quiet receiver and sits well in the crouch. Peter is agile and is able to shift quickly and easily to the blocking position and has good blocking technique. His catch/throw skills will continue to develop and in time he should be at the least an average to above average thrower at the college level. It is nice to see a young catcher play under control like Peter does. He is also an outstanding student. D1 coaches should follow his progress closely.
