Don DiPetta is a 2007 MIF/P with a 5'10'', 180 lb. frame from Kennesaw GA, who attends Kennesaw Mountain HS. He has a mature, stocky build with plenty of present strength. DiPetta hits from a balanced approach at the plate with good loading action. He's an aggressive hitters who takes a full swing at the ball and shows good bat speed. DiPetta does a good job staying short to the ball and makes consistent line drive contact and can get the ball to the gaps. Defensively, DiPetta can play all over the infield. His workout throwing velocity should be discarded, he worked out following a game that he pitched and played shortstop; he has nice arm strength and can make the throw from shortstop. He has good athletic balance moving to the ball and quick exchanges. He probably profiles best as a second baseman but he'll be a versatile player at the next level. DiPetta also pitched a bit, throwing 83 mph with good sink. He has very sound pitching mechanics for a primary position player and does a good job competing and throwing strikes with an idea. DiPetta is an aggressive competitor who plays hard and maxmimizes his tools. He is also a very good student.

Don DiPetta is a 2007 2B/P with a 5'9'', 175 lb. frame from Kennesaw GA, who attends Kennesaw Mountain HS. He has a mature, well muscled build and good present strength. DiPetta is a high effort, high energy player in all areas. He ran the 60 in 6.94 and plays fast, with quick feet on defense in the middle of the field and aggressive, hustling baserunning. DiPetta showed good arm strength on defense, although the effort he puts into his throws make his actions better suited for second base than for shortstop in the future. Offensively, DiPetta hits from a wide stance with a full gorilla aggressive swing. He's looking to pull the ball and pull it hard and the ball jumps off his bat well. He has very good bat speed and can get the ball to the fences with wood. DiPetta also pitched a bit, showing an 82 mph fastball and a big breaking 65 mph curveball. You have to appreciate DiPetta's approach, he's going full speed to try to beat you and will probably run over you trying. He has the tools to play at the next level. DiPetta is also a very good student.
