Stephens is an interesting infielder that does everything well except throw with arm strength. In fact, we can't figure out if he would be best-suited in the infield, outfield or even catcher. He has quick actions with receiving the ball, getting rid of the ball and even ran a 6.99 in the 60 yard dash. He showed some good pop in his bat and took the ball the other way nicely. He is also a tough player who got plunked 3 times and continued to stay in on hard pitching and take some good hacks. His short quick swing is a good fit for his approach of driving the ball up the middle with his hands to the ball quickly. He had many good at-bats where he put the ball in play hard and appears to be a tough player to strike out. Good student.
