Raleigh Captures 12u BCS Championship

West Raleigh 12u defeated Home Plate Vandy by a 6-3 mark Tuesday afternoon at East Cobb Complex Field 4, running its record at the 2014 12u BCS Finals to 8-0-1 and -- most importantly -- securing its championship at the event. Raleigh was out-hit by Vandy 6-5 in the game, but its four-run, top-of-the-ninth inning that included two walks, a stolen base and a triple by Lane Rhodes (2019, Fuquay-Varina HS, NC) gave West a lead it would not relinquish.

Penn Sealey (2019, Needham Broughton HS, NC) received the winning decision as Raleigh's starting pitcher, logging three innings in which he concede no earned runs, two hits and one walk with two strikeouts. Penn registered 10 of 13 possible first-pitch strikes to go with five air outs (two ground outs). Nolan McLean (2020, Wake Christian Academy, NC) recorded five relief innings for Raleigh, allowing two earned runs home on two hits and one walk to go with a pair of punchouts.

Carter Holjes (2019, Cardinal Gibbons HS, NC) led the way offensively for West Raleigh's victory, going 1-for-4 with a double and run scored. Rhodes' bases-clearing triple in the clutch helped his team's cause, too, while Matt Willadsen (2019, Holly Springs HS, NC) churned out three (of four possible) quality at bats from the No. 5 spot in Raleigh's order, finishing with a 0-for-2 batting line with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base.

Vandy's Pitching Leads Home Plate to 7-1 Victory

Home Plate Vandy defeated S3 Texas by a comfortable 7-1 score Tuesday morning at East Cobb Complex Field 6, running its record at the 2014 12u BCS Finals to 7-0-0 and simultaneously advancing to the event's championship match. Vandy went 9-for-20 at the plate offensively and struck out 10 Texas batters, proving more than enough to pull out the victory.

Austin Aldridge (2020, Woodward Academy, GA) got the start for Vandy, lasting one inning in which he didn't allow an earned run, conceded one hit, striking out three and walking none. Brock Vandagriff (2020, Woodward Academy, GA) logged two innings of relief with four strikeouts (one earned run) for Home Plate, while Harrison Aulds (2020, First Presbyterian Day HS, GA) punched out three batters in his two innings of work, walking one and allowing no earned runs and not hits.

Michael Fitzpatrick (2020, Westfield HS, GA) blasted a home run on his way to a 1-for-2 performance that included a walk and two runs scored in Vandy's victory, while Ryder Willard (2020, Northgate HS, GA) chipped in through going 1-for-2 with a double, two stolen bases and a run scored.

McCraw Commands Zone in Raleigh's Victory

West Raleigh 12u defeated IBAHS Knights by a 7-3 mark Tuesday morning at East Cobb Complex Field 4, a win that ran its record at the 2014 12u BCS Finals to 7-0-1 and catapulted it into the event's championship match. Raleigh and IBAHS were evenly matched at seven hits each, but West's five-run top-of-the-third inning proved to be the decisive factor in the matchup.

Garrett McCraw (2019, FuQuay-Varina HS, NC) got the start and winning decision on the mound for West Raleigh, logging seven full innings in which he allowed three earned runs on seven hits (one home run), and no walks. McCraw, a 5-foot-7 right hander from Holly Springs, NC, pounded the zone with efficiency (72.7% strike rate) throughout on his way to striking out six batters, inducing eight ground ball outs, three fly ball outs and 16 of 25 possible first-pitch strikes.

Jake DeFranco (2020, Orange HS, NC) led the offensive charge for West Raleigh 12u, going 2-for-3 with a double and run batted in from the No. 2 spot in the order. Sam Kulasingam (2020, William G. Enloe HS, NC) tripled en route to a 1-for-2 batting line with a run scored in the victory, while McCraw scored once and walked twice from the final spot in Raleigh's lineup.

Yanluis Ortiz (2019, International Baseball Academy, PR) received the losing decision as IBAHS' starting pitcher, but didn't allow an earned run to cross home over his three innings of work. He struck out five and induced five of six potential in-play outs on the ground, and went 3-for-3 with a home run and two runs batted from the No. 3 spot in the order.

Early Lead Gives S3 Texas 11-1 Victory

The S3 Texas defeated the Team Elite South Forsyth 11-1 in five innings. 

Christian Martinez (2020, Corpus Christi, TX) led the S3 Texas by going 2-3 with a home run and a single. He was able to drive win four RBIs while scoring twice. Justin Flores (2019, Cypress, TX) helped by going 2-2 with a double and a single while driving in two runs and scoring once. Alejandro Betancourt (2019, Brownsville, TX) finished with two doubles with a RBI and two runs in the game. Simon Castillo (2020, San Antonio, TX) contributed a double and a single and scoring twice, and Gilbert Escobedo (2020, Jersey Village, TX) went 1-3 with a home run with two RBIs and a run.

Castillo pitched the majority of the game by going three strong innings. He scattered a pair of hits with only one run. He only walked one batter and struck out seven batters.

Christopher Crowell (2020, Cumming, GA) tried to start the Team Elite South Forsyth team by roping a RBI double in the first inning. Miles Hartsfield (2020, Cumming, GA) was the run in the game and also collected a double in the game, and Ford Kelly (2020, Cumming, GA) contributed with the third and final hit for the team. 

West Raleigh Scores Every Innings in Easy Win

West Raleigh 12U defeated the Home Plate Schmits 9-2 in six innings. 

Penn Sealy (2019, Raleigh, NC) led the West Raleigh team going collecting a double and a single. He was able to drive win a RBI and a run. Garrett McCraw (2019, Holly Springs, NC) showed power by crushing a homer while driving in two runs and scoring twice in the game. Colby Gallimore (2019, Raleigh, NC) joined in for his team by going 1-1 with two RBIs and a run. Jake DeFranco (2020, Hillborough, NC) collected the other double for the team while collecting a RBI and a run.

Matt Willadsen (2019, Holly Springs, NC) led West Raleigh 12U pitching duo by going five strong innings. He let only two hits fall with only two runs scoring. He was able to strike out ten batters and only walk one. Sam Kulasingam (2020, Cary, NC) tossed the last inning while striking out two opponents. 

Evan Eskew (2020, Newnan, GA) led the Home Plate Schmits by going 1-2 with a two run homer in the first inning. Joseph Eichelberger (2019, Hampton, GA) collected the second hit for the team and scoring once. Cameron Foster (2019, Douglasville, GA) showed the most consistency on the mound by only going one inning with one hit that was unearned and a run and striking out four batters

S3 Texas beat Greenville Titans.

S3 Texas fend off the Greenville Titan's late push, hold on 6-5 victory. Rafael Perales (Middle School, Brownsville, TX 2019) racked up three RBIs for the S3 Texas. He doubled in the first and third innings. Hayden Stapleson (Maudlin, Greenville, SC 2020) had two extra base-hits for the Greenville Titans. This game had  a lot offense to it with a lot of runs scored and hits.

Gilbert Escobedo (Jersey Village, Jersey Village, TX 2020) for the S3 Texas was the ace on the mound today for his team. He tossed five innings while giving up seven hits, three runs, and striking out eight. Hayden S was the other pitcher for the Greenville Titans. He tossed six innings worth while giving up eleven hits, six runs, and striking out eight for the game.

Elite Gamers wins 13 runs!!!

Patrick H hits and pitches Elite Gamers RWB to 13-1 victory. Patrick Holloman (Ola, McDonough, GA 2020) racked up four RBIs for the game for his team. He homered in the third inning and singled in the first and fourth innings. Miles Garrett (Providence Christian Academy, Stone Mountain, GA 2020) was hot today at the plate. He went 1-2 for the game with driving in a run and scored one run too. He also homered in the fourth inning.

Patrick also put together a nice outing on the mound today for the Elite Gamers RWB. EAB managed just one hit off of the pitcher. He allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work. Ian King (Archer, Loganville, GA 2020) was the other pitcher for EAB. He tossed 2.2 innings worth while giving up eight hits, nine runs, walking one, striking out two and two home runs.

Elite Gamers top 20 runs for 2nd time in 25-0 W

Once again, Elite Gamers RWB launched six home runs in a game where they score at least 20 runs, blowing out Mizuno Houston Select-Maysey 25-0.

Baylen Sanders (2019, Middle School, McDonough, GA) launched a grand slam and a three run homer, driving in an incredible seven runs while also getting hit by a pitch and scoring three runs. Corey Collins (2020, Middle School, Suwanee, GA) drove in four with a homer and a double, scoring both times. Jack Witmer (2020, Middle School, McDonough, GA) brought home three, launched a bomb, a double, and scored twice. Ty Kaufman (2020, Middle School, McDonough, GA) hit one out and drove in two, and Eugene Brown (2020, Middle School, Conyers, GA) hit a solo shot, stole a base, singled, walked, and scored two. 

Witmer drew the start and threw three innings of one-hit ball, walking one with four strike outs.

Cameron Godfrey (2019, Middle School, Friendswood, TX) recorded the only hit, a single, and William Sweeney (2019, Middle School, Friendswood, TX) worked the only walk with both runners being stranded in scoring position in the first inning.

EAB and West Raliegh finish in 9-9 tie

A late three run rally by EAB in the bottom half of the last inning tied the game at nine, which is where it would end. 

Jordan Walker (2020, Middle School, Stone Mountain, GA) was a monster at the plate, launching two home runs and a single, driving in five runs and scoring three himself with a stolen base. All five RBI were from his home runs as he hit a three run shot in the first inning and added a two run bomb to tie it in the sixth. Cory Lee (2020, Middle School, Loganville, GA) was also 3-3, scoring all three times after reaching on a trio of singles with two stolen bases. Miles Garrett (2020, Middle School, Stone Mountain, GA) scored twice, singled twice and drove home one while Shane Daley (2020, Middle School, Lithonia, GA) reached all three times up on two walks and a single. 

Garrett threw a scoreless inning of relief, dancing around two hits with two strike outs and no walks.

Garrett McCraw (2019, Middle School, Holly Springs, NC) was just as impressive as Walker in the batters box, also launching a pair of long balls but each were solo shots. He also kicked in a single and scored all three times up. Lane Rhodes (2019, Middle School, Fuquay Varina, NC) hit one out as well, also singling with two RBI and two runs scored. Paul Rider (2020, Middle School, Holly Springs, NC) roped a double, a single, and drove home one while Matt Willadsen (2019, Middle School, Holly Springs, NC) singled twice, scored once and drove in one as well.

Team Halo plate six in 2nd inning to power 9-2 W

Six runs early drove Team Halo to a decisive 9-2 victory over Georgia Raiders.

Truck Whitfield (2020, Middle School, Atlanta, GA) roped a three run triple, stole a base, worked a walk, and scored once in the game. Jon Paul Wheat (2020, Middle School, McDonough, GA) drove in two with a single, walks, two RBI with a stolen base and two runs scored. Kobe Harris (2021, Middle School, Fairburn, GA) and Rob Gordon (2021, Middle School, Smyrna, GA) each doubled with their only hit. Harris also walked, drove in two and scored once while Gordon drove in one. Michael Braswell (2020, Middle School, Mableton, GA) doubled as well, stole two bases, and came around to score once. Breon Horne (2020, Middle School, Atlanta, GA) also stole three bags after reaching on a single and two walks. 

Braswell also threw four innings on the mound, getting the start and going home with the win. He struck out seven with no walks, three hits and two runs (one earned) allowed. Bubba Chandler (2021, Middle School, Eatonton, GA) followed with a perfect inning, striking out one. 

The Raiders received a double from Jabari Whitehead (2020, Middle School, College Park, GA) who came around to score, and Kameron Taylor (2022, Middle School, Decatur, GA) singled, was hit by a pitch and stole a base. Dylan Jones (2019, Middle School, Atlanta, GA) had the only RBI on a first inning ground out.

Home Plate Vandy drops 20 on MLB UYA South

The Home Plate Vandy offense was just too much to handle, scoring 20 runs on MLB UYA South in a 20-9 blow out. 

Three different Home Plate players drove in at least three runs and four different players went yard. Michael Fitzpatrick (2020, Middle School, Macon, GA) leading the way with four RBI on a home run, single and walk, scoring all three times. Clayton Weatherly (2019, Middle School, Phenix City, AL) launched a three run homer, as did Brock Vandagriff (2020, Middle School, Sharpsburg, GA) who also walked and scored twice. Derek Radtke (2020, Middle School, Marietta, GA) was 3-3 with a solo homer, two singles, and three runs scored. 

MLB UYA South scored plenty of runs but it wasn't enough to get by the powerhouse Home Plate Vandy club. Shane Goins (2020, Middle School, Mataire, LA) launched a grand slam and walked, scoring twice and driving in four. Kenneth Ward (2020, Middle School, Houston, TX) had a three run shot with his only hit of the game. Deionte Norris (2019, Middle School, Slidell, LA) drove in two and scored twice on a single and a walk while Josh Laurent (2020, Middle School, Houston, TX) scored twice on two singles.

West Raleigh beats Mizuno Houston.

West Raleigh 12U beat the Mizuno Houston Select-Maysey. This game was called after two innings. Matt Willadsen (Holly Springs, Holly Springs, NC 2019), Zach Miller (Millbrook, Raleigh, NC 2020) and Nolan McLean (Wake Christian Academy, Willow Springs, NC 2020) were the hot hitters for the day. Matt went 2-2 for the day and scored two runs. Nolan went 1-2 for the game with scoring one run and had one two RBIs. Zach went 1-1 for the day with scoring one run and had one RBI.

There were only two pitchers for the game. West Raleigh 12U Sam Kulasingam (William G Enloe, Cary, NC 2020) tossed one inning and striking out two. Miguel L (Friendswood, Friendswood, TX 2019) for the Mizuno Houston Select-Maysey. He tossed 1.2 innings while giving up seven hits, seven runs, and one home run.

Team Elite Black beat Georgia Raiders.

Team Elite Black bests the Georgia Raiders 7-4 thanks to a RBI single by Bryce Troutt (Alpharetta, Alpharetta, GA 2020). A single, bringing home Hunter Horan (South Forsyth, Alpharetta, GA 2020) gave Team Elite Black the lead in the sixth inning. Dominick McIntyre (Grayson, Lawrenceville, GA 2021) paced the Georgia Raiders at the plate. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning. Bryce racked up two RBIs on two hits for Team Elite Black. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Daniel Fischer (Lambert, Sawanee, GA 2020) for the Team Elite Black was the ace pitcher. He tossed five innings worth while giving up six hits, four runs, walking one, and striking out three. Peter Warrick (Riverwood, Smyrna, GA 2020) was the other pitcher for the Georgia Raiders. He tossed 5.1 innings worth while giving up eight hits, seven hits, walking five, and striking out six.

Team Elite South Forsyth beat 6-4-3.

Team Elite South Forsyth defeats 6-4-3 DP Cougars 10-7 victory. Team Elite South Forysth's Christopher Crowell (West Forsyth, Cumming, GA 2020) was perfect today at the plate. He went 3-3 for the day with a single in the first, fourth, and fifth innings. Henry Gies (Dunwoody, Dunwoody, GA 2020). for the 6-4-3 DP Cougars went 1-3 for the game with a scoring one run and had two RBIs.

Trey Baker (West Forsyth, Cumming, GA 2020) allowed six in two, but the bullpen gave up one run. Joshua V. put together a nice outing today. 6-4-3 Cougars DP managed just one hit off of the Team Elite South Forsyth's pitcher. He allowed one earned run, walked none, and struck out two during his four innings of work.

Dunwoody Dragons blow out ABA Elite 11-2

Matthew Houghton (2020, Middle School, Dunwoody, GA) went deep for the Dunwoody Dragons as part of a huge offensive game for the team, winning 11-2 over ABA Elite 12U.

The home run was a solo shot and his only hit of the game. Charles Taylor (2020, Middle School, Dunwoody, GA) was a perfect 3-3 with a run scored and three RBI on a trio of singles. David Julian (2020, Middle School, Dunwoody, GA) scored three runs, Ryan Mannelly (2019, Middle School, Atlanta, GA) drove in two, and Dustin Gualtney (2020, Middle School, Dunwoody, GA) scored twice.

Taylor got the start and threw 3.2 innings, allowing four hits and an unearned run with one punch out and no walks. Gaultney followed with 1.1 innings of relief, allowing a run on two hits, a hit batter, and a walk with one strike out. 

Maddox Mueller (2020, Middle School, Fayetteville, GA) picked up two hits for ABA Elite, driving in one. Andrew Villiger (2020, Middle School, Peachtree City, GA) and Jorge Fragoso Jr (2021, Middle School, East Point, GA) each doubled with their only hits with Fragoso Jr plating one run. Evan Fuller (2020, Middle School, Senoia, GA) singled and scored while Hunter Spence (2020, Middle School, Kathleen, GA) stole a pair of bases after reaching on a single.

MLB UYA South beat ABA Elite 12U.

Big hitting performance carries MLB UYA South past ABA Elite 12U 12-2 victory. Kenneth Ward (Middle School, Houston, TX 2020) had a good day at the dish. He blasted two home runs for  MLB UYA South, went 2-2 in the game with four RBIs and two runs scored. Kenneth homered in the first and second innings. MLB UYA South hit three home runs today for the win.

MLB UYA South hammered ABA Elite 12U pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for ten hits, eleven RBIs, and eleven runs scored. Maddox Mueller (Whitewater, Fayetteville, GA 2020) was the ace pitcher for the ABA Elite 12U. He tossed one inning while giving up five hits, seven runs, one walk, and one home run. Dillion Cousin (Sidell, Sidell, LA 2020) was the other pitcher for the MLB UYA South. He tossed 3.2 innings while giving up two hits, two runs, walked two, striking out one and one home run.

Schmits Offense too much in route to W

Home Plate Schmits defeated the East Cobb Pride 14-1.  the Schmits offense outhit the Pride 12-1 throughout the game and scored seven runs in the second and five more runs in the fifth in route to the easy victory.

Joseph Eichelberger (2019, Luella, GA) led the way on the offensive end going 3-3 with a homerun, three runs scored, and three RBIs.  Trevor Crews (2019, Upson-Lee, GA) went 2-3 with a homerun of his own, two runs scored, and three RBIs on the day.  Leadoff hitter Cameron Foster (2019, Chapel Hill, GA) finished the game 2-3 with one run scored and two RBIs.  Evan Eskew (2020, Northgate, GA) pitched two innings of work, giving up just one hit and struck out four in the game.

For the Pride, Dean O'Brien (202, Etowah, GA) had the one hit in the game for the team and finished 1-2 on the day.  Andrew Warchol (2020, Lassiter, GA) finished with an RBI as well.


Storm Offense Explodes in 21-5 Win

The Signature Park Storm offense erupted for 17 hits in the ball game as they went on to defeat SBO Travel Team Florida 21-5.  Of the 17 hits for the Storm, six of them were homeruns, and of the six, one was a grand slam.

Hogan Pitts (2019, Habersham Central, GA) led the way by going 2-3 with two homeruns, two RBIs, and two runs scored.  Leadoff hitter Peyton Irvin (2019, Habersham Central, GA) went 2-3 as well with a grand slam, a double, two runs scored and a total of five RBIs in the game.  John Anderson (2020, Grayson, GA) went 3-3 at the plate, with a home run and a double, three runs scored, and four RBIs.  Michael Miller (2020, Franklin County, GA) and Blake Bortak (2020, Archer, GA) each contributed with a home run a piece.  Bortak finished the game going 3-5 with three runs scored and one RBI.  Trey Mullins (2020, Mill Creek, GA) and Jack Ihm (2020, Mill Creek, GA) each finished with a double in the game as well.

For Team Florida, Joseph A. had a homerun and finished the game going 1-2 with a run scored and two RBIs.  leadoff hitter Gian M. finished 1-1 with a double.


Home Plate Vandy gets W behind pitching

Clayton Weatherly (2019, Smiths Station, AL) pitched six strong innings to carry Home Plate Vandy to a 3-0 win over Dunwoody Dragons.  Weatherly gave up no earned runs and just two hits, and struck out seven in the game.

On the offensive end for Vandy, Harrison Aulds (2020, First Presbyterian Day, GA) led the way by going 2-2 with a triple, one run scored and one RBI in the game.  Calin Smith (2020, Mcintosh, GA) also helped out going 1-2 with a triple as well, and one run scored.  Michael Fitzpatrick (2020, Westfield, GA) and Ryder Willard (2020, Northgate, GA) each finished with a double on the day.

For the Dragons, Mathew Houghton (2020, Dunwoody, GA) went 1-2 at the plate.  Jaxson Warshaw (2020, Dunwoody, GA) also finished 1-2 in the game.Warshaw also pitched a complete game for the Dragons, giving up three earned runs on seven hits, and struck out two total in the game.


Late Runs lifts Team Elite South Forsyth

Team Elite South Forsyth defeated the RBI Rangers 9-4 after some late production from the offense.  Despite being outhit 8-6 in the ballgame, South Forsyth scored four runs in the fourth inning and three more runs off a three-run homerun in the fifth to seal the win.

Joshua Vekselman (2020, South Forsyth, GA) contributed in the late run production by going 1-1 with the three RBI homerun in the fifth.  Jack Kream (2020, South Forsyth, GA) went 1-2 with a double, one run scored and one RBI.  Trey Baker (2020, West Forsyth, GA) also went 1-2 with a double of his own and two RBIs in the game.  Ryan Todd (2020, Cambridge, GA) pitched five innings of work and struck out nine batters on the day.

For the Rangers, Brad Grenkoski (2019, Knoxville Catholic, TN) went 1-2 on the day with a homerun, one run scored and two RBIs.  Zane Keener (2019, Christian Academy Knoxville, TN) also provided some spark on the offensive end by going 2-2 with one run scored.


Team Elite Silver drop Greenville Titans 11-10

Down by two coming into the last inning, Team Elite Silver posted a three spot on the board, taking home the win over the Greenville Titans 11-10. 

Rickey Dawson (2019, Middle School, Ellenwood, GA) got the party started by visiting the deli for a grand salami in the first inning, accounting for his four RBI's on the day. Cole Smith (2020, Middle School, Conyers, GA) had a solo homer, walked, and scored two runs. Khalil Wilcox (2019, Middle School, Covington, GA) doubled twice, coming around to score once, and David Law (2019, Middle School, Rehobeth, AL) doubled, singled, and scored both times on base. Landon Marks (2020, Middle School, Covington, GA) kicked in another double, a single, and an RBI while John Robert McGowan (2019, Middle School, Covington, GA) plated two with a single. 

Stephen Hrustich (2019, Middle School, Lawrenceville, GA) threw a scoreless innings of relief, allowing just a single hit. 

Brody Fahr (2020, Middle School, Greer, SC) singled three times, scored three times, and even stole a base. Hayden Stapleton (2020, Middle School, Greenville, SC) reached base three times as well, roping a double and single, working a walk, scoring twice and driving in two. Caden Grice (2020, Middle School, Taylors, SC) doubled, drove home two and scored once while Caleb Freeman (2020, Middle School, Greer, SC) had an RBI double. Will Potter (2020, Middle School, Greer, SC) plated two with a single, a walk, and a run scored.


Yanluis Ortiz hits 2 HR, 7 RBI in 18-10 win

A grand slam and three run homer plated seven runs for IBAHS Knights and Yanluis Ortiz (2019, International Baseball Academy, Puerto Rico) in particular as the trounced Team Elite Black 18-10.

Ortiz wasn't done with that either, also reaching on an error, a single, and scoring a total of four runs. Angel Andrades (2019, International Baseball Academy, Puerto Rico) roped a pair of doubles, a single, worked a walks and scored twice while driving in five. Merrir M drove in four runs with a double and a single. Luis G Castro (2019, International Baseball Academy, Puerto Rico) scored four times, reaching on a pair of errors, a walk and a single. 

Castro also threw 1.2 innings of relief, allowing only a single hit with a strike out. 

Bryce Troutt (2020, Middle School, Alpharetta, GA) plated two during a perfect day at the plate for Team Elite Black, going 2-2 with a walk, double, two stolen bases and a run scored. Three run sixth leads SBO to 7-6 win over EC Pride

Three in the first, three in the sixth, and one thrown in between was enough for SBO Travel Team Florida to beat the East Cobb Pride. 

Joseph A launched a three run homer in the top half of the first inning to take a short-lived lead as the Pride threw a four spot on the board in the bottom half. Victor Riefkohl (2019, Middle School, Rio Grande, Puerto Rico) went 2-3 with a run scored and stolen base while Edgar S had an RBI double and stolen base. Alek Y Arroyo (2020, Middle School, Cayey, Puerto Rico) was also 2-3 with two runs scored in the game.

Kevin Sosa (2020, Middle School, Cidra, Puerto Rico) threw 3.1 excellent innings, striking out five with just one walk and two hits allowed with nobody crossing the plate.

Noah Dawkins (2020, Middle School, Marietta, GA) was the star of the Pride's offense, dropping two bombs with four runs driven in. Colt Taylor (2020, Middle School, Acworth, GA) pitched in a pair of singles and a stolen base while Austin Tienda (2020, Middle School, Woodstock, GA) went wild on the base paths, stealing four bases after reaching on two walks, scoring both times. Home Plate Schmits wins barn-burner 16-10

Both sides launched four home runs a piece in this offensive display with Home Plate Schmits coming out on top 16-10 over Signature Park Storm. 

Elijah Hilton (2019, Middle School, Fayetteville, GA) and Joseph Eichelberger (2019, Middle School, Hampton, GA) were the stars of the show, each belting a home run and double while both went 4-4 in the game. Hilton also drove in four and scored three times while Eichelberger scored and drove home three. Evan Eskew (2020, Middle School, Hampton, GA) pitched in a two run home run, and Colin Schmits (2020, Middle School, Sharpsburg, GA) also went yahtzee. Schmits scored three times, drove in two and also singled and was hit by a pitch. This is the third time so far in the BCS Finals that Home Plate Schmits has scored at least 15 runs in a game

Alan Fluellen (2019, Middle School, Atlanta, GA) was the only pitcher to record more than one out and not allow a run, throwing a scoreless frame with a strike out. 

Michael Miller (2020, Middle School, Martin, GA) put on a show today for Signature Park Storm, taking two pitches to souvenir city, driving in three runs in the process. William Webb Jr (2020, Middle School, Carrolton, GA) finished the game a triple short of the cycle, scoring twice with three RBI. Hogan Pitts (2019, Middle School, Cornella, GA) had the fourth homer for the Storm, a solo shot, and he also kicked in a single. 

Seven Run Inning 3rd for Team Elite South Forsyth

Team Elite South Forsyth defeated the Home Plate Kearns 11-4 in five innings.

Ryan Todd (2020, Milton, GA) led Team Elite South Forsyth that roped a double and a single. He was able to drive in three runs while touching home once. Ford Kelly (2020, Cumming, GA) helped out with a double and single as well that drove in two runs and touched home once. Joshua Vekselman (2020, Cumming, GA) and Brett Buursema (2021, Cumming, GA) also had multi hit games with two singles each with a RBI and a run. All but three players had at least one hit. 

Burke B. tried to get things started for Home Plate Kearns. He had two hits with a double and a single. Jeff L. had a two RBI single in the game. Houston L. crushed a double that was also able to play a run. Daniel C. helped out with a RBI single. 

RBI Rangers Run Away with 11-3 Win

The RBI Rangers defeated the 6-4-3 DP Cougars 11-3 in five innings. 

Gehrig Ebel (2020, Signal Mountain, TN) led the RBI Rangers with two hits in the game. He roped a double and a single while driving in one run and scoring once. Hunter Hodson (2019, Rossville, GA) was pinned with four RBIs without any hits. Camron Fisher (2019, Knoxville, TN) and Lukas Cook (2020, Knoxville, TN) both went 1-3 with a RBI and a run.

Matthew "Eli" Turso (2019, Dalton, GA) pitched the majority of the game by going 4.2 innings. He scattered four hits with one run that was unearned. He was able to strike out nine batters and only walked one batter. 

Gavin Hall (2020, Powder Springs, GA) led the Cougars with two hits and one run. Henry Gies (2020, Dunwoody, GA) and Hank Bearden (2020, Rocky Face, GA) helped out by tallying for one hit each and a run.

Sealey Wins In Walk Off Fashion for West Raleigh

West Raleigh 12U defeated the Elite Gamers RWB 8-6 in five innings in a two run walk off home run.

Penn Sealey (2019, Raleigh, NC) finished the game for West Raleigh with a walk off home run in the bottom of the fifth. He ended the game 1-1 with two RBIs and two runs. Zach Miller (2020, Raleigh, NC) added three RBIs with one home run and a run. Garrett McCraw (2019, Holly Springs, NC) added one two hits with two singles. Lane Rhodes (2019, Fuquay Varina, NC) also contributed a solo home run.

McCraw also pitched the last 1.1 innings. He did not let a hit or run touch. He did strike out one batter in the game. 

Jack Witmer (2020, McDonough) led the Elite Gamers RWB by going 1-2 with two RBIs. Nicholas Watson-Garcia (2019, Conyers, GA) and Patrick Holloman (2020, McDonough, GA) each tallied a hit and a RBI. Baylen Sanders (2019, McDonough, GA) added on a hit along with a RBI and a run.

The 6-4-3 DP Cougars defeated the Home Plate Kearns 10-6 in five innings. 

Alex Espinel (2019, Roswell, GA) led the surge for 643 by going 3-3 with a double and two singles. He drove in three RBIs in the game. Sam Blancato (2019, Marietta, GA) helped by collecting two hits and two RBIs with two runs. Hank Bearden (2020, Rocky Face, GA) roped two doubles with a RBI and a run. Bryce Thompson (2019, Acworth, GA) joined in with two hits with a RBI and two runs. 

Thompson also pitched the last two innings for the Cougars allowing just one hit. He was able to strike out three batters during his time on the mound. 

Legend D. led off for the Home Plate Kearns and finished 1-2 while driving in one RBI and a run. Daniel C. matched by going 1-3 with a RBI and a run. Mike M. and Jacob J. each tallied a hit and a run of their own.


Comeback Falls Short for Team Elite Silver

S3 Texas defeated the Team Elite Silver 5-4 in six innings. 

Gilbert Escobedo (2020, Jersey Village, TX) roped two singles in the game and came in the clutch with driving in three RBIs. Sam Canales (2020, Corpus Christi, TX) helped out going 1-2 and plating two runs. Simon Castillo (2020, San Antonio, TX) roped the only extra base hit for the team with a double, and he also hit a single along with scoring once. Calin Knight (2020, Montgomery, TX) helped by walking twice and scoring once. 

Castillo pitched 2.2 innings and only allowing one hit and one run that was unearned. He struck out two batters and only walked one. Alejandro Batancourt (2019, Brownsville, TX) pitched the last 3.1 innings and allowed tow hits to fall with three runs. He did, however, strike out five batters. 

Brandon Lawrence (2020, Conyers, GA) showed the most consistency offensively for Team Elite in the lead off position. He finished 1-2 with a triple and two RBIs and a run. Khalil Wilcox (2019, Covington, GA) also helped going 1-1 with a run. Jadyn Jackson (2019, Stone Mountain, GA) pitched the most consistent going 1.2 innings allowing just one hit and no runs. 

EAB Downs Mizuno Houston Select by 16 Runs

EAB defeated Mizuno Houston Select-Maysey 19-3 in three innings. 

Ian King (2020, Loganville, GA) was the talk of the game for EAB. He crushed a home run and finished 2-2 by driving in six RBIs and scoring once. Shane Daley (2020, Lithonia, GA) also roped a home run and finished wight the most hits in the game (3). He was able to drive in two RBIs and three runs. Jordan Walker (2020, Stone Mountain, GA) and Dylan Fletcher (2020, Lilburn, GA) each collected two hits and two runs. Allen Del Castillo (2019, Lawrenceville, GA) joined in with two hits, with two doubles. He also drove in three RBIs and two runs. Miles Garrett (2020, Stone Mountain, GA) helped out by finishing 1-2 with two RBIs and two runs. Evan Llaverias (2019, Snellville, GA) also contributed by going 2-2 with two RBIs and two runs. 

Josh Keller (2019, Snellville, GA) started for EAB by going two innings. He let three hits fall with one run. 

Miguel Leon (2019, Friendwood, TX) led the Mizuno Houston Select by going a perfect 1-1 with two RBIs and a run. Ryan Stoddard (2019, Pearland, TX) helped by going 1-1 with a RBI and a run. Both of these players matched the total of home runs from the EAB with a home run for each player. Heladio Moreno (2019, Houston, TX) connected with a hit and a run.

The Home Plate Vandy defeated the ABA Elite 12U 19-2 in three innings. 

Lewis McCollum (2020, McDonough, GA) and Justin Barnes (2019, Marietta, GA) led the Home Plate Vandy by crushing a home run each. Barnes went a perfect 3-3 in the game with three RBIs and three runs. McCollum also went perfect 1-1 with two walks, three RBIs, and three runs. Ryder Williard (2020, Newnan, GA) helped out going 2-3 with two doubles and two RBIs and a run. Derek Radtke (2020, Marietta, GA) joined in going perfect with 2-2 with three RBIs and a run. Clayton Weatherly (2019, Phenix City, AL) jumped in with 1-2 with a double and collected two RBIs and a run. Williams Moore (2020, Forsyth, GA) roped a hit that scored a run and he scored twice. 

Radtke went two innings without letting a hit fall. He let one run score, but it was unearned. He was only able to strike out one batter. Calin Smith (2020, Peachtree City, GA) pitched the last inning with two hits and a run that was unearned. He did, however, strike out two batters. 

Reece Page (2020, Warner Robbins, GA) led the ABA Elite 12U by going 1-1 with a single and a run. Jorge Fragoso, Jr. (2021, East Point, GA) collected the second hit for the team, and Dean Goad (2020, Newnan, GA) scored the second run of the game.

The Dunwoody Dragons defeated the MLB UYA South 11-3 in five innings. 

Dustin Gaultney (2020, Dunwood, GA) led the Dragons in hits and RBIs. He roped a home run in the game and drove in four RBIs along with touching home once. Matthew Houghton (2020, Dunwoody, GA) and Robert Hardin (2020, Dunwoody, GA) joined in going a perfect 1-1 with a RBI and two runs. Ryan Mannelly (2019, Atlanta, GA) helped by going 2-3 with two singles and one run. Michael Tobia (2020, Dunwoody, GA) showed great discipline by walking twice and collecting a single with driving a run and scoring once.

Charles Taylor (2020, Dunwoody, GA) started and went two innings for Dunwoody. He only let one hit fall and one run score, that was unearned. He was though able to strike out three batters. David Julian (2020, Dunwoody, GA) tossed the last three innings. He let four hit drop with two runs. He walked one batter and struck out four batters.

Eddie Davis IV (2019, Sidell, LA) hit the only extra base hit for the MLB UYA South with a double, and he drove in a RBI for the team. Jaylon Burrell (2019, Houston, TX) also collected a hit and drove in one run. Josh Laurent (2020, Houston, TX) and Blake Batiste (2020, New Orleans, LA) each tacked on a hit too and scored once.

The IBAHS Knights defeated the Georgia Raiders 6-0 in five innings. 

Angel Andrades (2019, Humacao, PR) pitched and hit the Knights to victory. He pitched a five inning shut out scattering only five hits. He was able to strike out four batters. He also helped out offensively going 2-3 with two RBIs and a run. Yanluis Ortiz (2019, Loiza, PR) finished a perfect 2-2 with a RBI and two runs. Yediel Rodriguez (2019, Carolina, PR) helped out by roping a two RBI double and scored once. Shadai Colon (2019, Rio Grande, PR) joined in with the team going 1-2 with a RBI.

Peter Warrick (2020, Smyrna, GA) led the Raiders in extra base hits with a double. Four other batters collected the other four hits for the team. 

Big Last Inning for Team Halo Blows Game Open

Team Halo defeated Team Elite Black 13-3 in six innings. 

Kobe Harris (2021, Fairburn, GA) led Team Halo in hits, RBIs, and tied for most runs on his team. He collected three hits with all being singles. He was able to drive in three RBIs and scored twice. Jaden Browning (20201, Fairburn, GA) helped by going 2-3 while driving in three runs and scoring once. Devin Delaine (2020, Locust Grove, GA) collected a pair of hits and scored twice. Truck Whitfield (2020, Atlanta, GA) joined in with a hit, a RBI, and two runs. Richard Johnson (2021, Atlanta, GA) pitched all six innings for his team. He let five hits fall with two earned runs. 

Team Elite collected five hits total. Davis Mortland (2020, Cumming, GA) and Bryce Troutt (2020, Alpharetta, GA) led the team going 1-2 with a RBI each. Collin Ekerberg (2019, Cumming, GA) roped the only extra base hit for the team with a double. For the pitching staff, both pitchers Troutt and Tyler Watson (2020, Norcross, GA) let 12 hits fall and only one earned run of the 13 runs scored. 

RBI Rangers coast to win

The RBI Rangers used a 15-hit performance and a 9-run fourth inning to coast to a 17-4 win over Home Plate Kearns. After being down 4-2 after one inning, RBI scored 15 runs in the next three innings to ultimately run away win the win. RBI pitchers Brad Grenkoski (2019, Knoxville Catholic) and Ethan Morton (2020, West) combined for a two hitter, and they allowed no earned runs in the process. The pitchers also combined to go 2-5 with 3 RBI and 2 runs offensively.

Matthew "Eli" Turso (2019, Coahulla Creek) provided the pop for the RBI offense. He went 2-3 with 3 runs and 3 RBI. His big hit came when he connected on a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning.

Hunter Hodson (2019, Gordon Lee) was a perfect 3-3 at the plate for RBI and added an impressive 5 RBI. Mason Patel (2020, Webb School of Knoxville) also went 3-3 and had 2 RBI of his own.

The Home Plate Schmits entered the bottom of the third inning tied with SBO Travel Travel Team Florida 1-1. Then, Home Plate put up 15 runs in the inning en route to a 16-1 victory. They used a power surge that saw eight pitches leave the yard hit by six different players. They finished the game with 16 hits.

The power was provided by Elijah Hilton (2019, Fayette County) and Evan Eskew (2020, Northgate). Both players connected on two home runs, with Hilton adding five RBI and Eskew adding four.

The other four home runs were hit by Cameron Foster (2019, Chapel Hill), Justin Robinson (2019, Whitewater), Joseph Eichelberger (2019, Luella), and Hunter Hogeboom (2020, Woodward Academy).

Foster also pitched all three innings for Home Plate. He finished allowing only one hit and one earned run. 

Storm use power in win

6/22/2014

The Signature Park Storm continued their phenomenal hitting and home run fest in an 11-1 win over the East Cobb Pride. The Storm connected on six home runs, including a grand slam to push their tournament total to 14 home runs thus far. They also used a stellar pitching performance as well. William Webb, Jr. (2020, Carrollton) and John Anderson (2020, Grayson) combined for a five inning no-hitter. They each had four strikeouts, and together they only allowed one walk. Also, both pitchers hit a home run.

The offensive went on a tear scoring three runs in the first, three in the third, one in the fourth, and four in the fifth. Altogether, they pounded out 11 hits.

Michael Miller (2020, Franklin County) provided the big blow for the Storm. His grand slam in the bottom of the fifth inning ended the game.

The rest of the home runs for the Storm were hit by Peyton Irvin (2019, Habersham Central), Trey Mullins (2020, Mill Creek), and Hogan Pitts (2019, Habersham Central).

The win moved the Storm to 4-0. They are now 1-0 in the second round of pool.

Goins 2 home runs propel MLB UYA to 15-7 win

MLB UYA South won 15-7 over Team Elite South Forsyth behind the huge day at the plate from Shane Goins (2020, Holy Cross Middle, LA). Goins smashed 2 home runs and finished the game 2-2 with 2 runs scored and 6 RBI. Kenneth Ward (2020, Middle School, TX) also homered for the winners and was 3-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Brice Matthews (2020, Middle School, TX) went 3-3 as well with a RBI, 2 doubles, and 3 runs scored. Deionte Norris (2019, St. Augustine, LA), Nick Turner (2020, Middle School, LA), and Blake Batiste (2020, St Augustine, LA) each doubled in the game.

Justice Bailey (2020, North Forsyth, GA) led the offensive surge for Team Elite South Forsyth. Bailey went 2-2 with a home run, a run scored, and 4 RBI in the loss. Christoper Crowell (2020, West Forsyth, GA) also recorded 2 hits, going 2-3 with a run scored and a RBI. 

Offensive explosion leads West Raleigh to 21-7 win

West Raleigh 12U pounded out 20 hits and scored 21 runs on Saturday to beat the East Cobb Pride, 21-7. Jake DeFranco (2020, Orange, NC) had a huge day at the plate for West Raleigh, finishing 4-4 with a double, 3 runs scored, and 4 RBI. Clean-up hitter Zach Miller (2020, Millbrook, NC) also was a major run producer. Miller hit a home run and finished with 3 runs scored and 3 RBI in the game. Paul Rider (2020, Holly Springs, NC) and Garrett McCraw (2019, Fuquay-Varina, NC) also slugged home runs in the win. Carter Holjes (2019, Cardinal Gibbons, NC) and Sam Kulasingam (2020, William G. Enloe, NC) each had doubles in the game.

S3 Texas earn blowout win, 10-0

S3 Texas won big on Saturday over SBO Travel Team Florida, 10-0. Lead-off man Justin Flores (2019, Cy-Fair, TX) and clean-up hitter Simon Castillo (2020, Sandra Day O'Connor, TX) both slugged home runs for the winners. Flores finished the game 2-2 with a home run, a run scored, and 3 RBI. Castillo was 2-3 with 2 runs scored, 2 RBI, and also added a double. Gilbert Escobedo (2020, Jersey Village, TX) had the other extra-base hit of the game with a double. He finished 2-2 with a run scored and a RBI.

Calin Knight (2020, Montgomery, TX) and Escobedo combined to hold SBO Travel Team Florida scoreless over the 4 inning game. Knight started the game for Texas and pitched 2 innings, allowing 2 hits and striking out 3. He threw 70% of his pitches for strikes. Escobedo finished the final 2 innings in relief and allowed 1 hit, while striking out 4 batters. He too showed great command of his pitches, throwing 76% of them for strikes.

Dunwoody and the Elite Gamers end game in 5-5 tie

The Dunwoody Dragons and the Elite Gamers RWB tied on Saturday, 5-5. The Dragons were led at the plate by Charles Taylor (2020, Dunwoody, GA), who finished 2-3 with a double, a RBI, and a run scored. Jaxson Warshaw (2020, Dunwoody, GA) and Tyler Eith (2020, Dunwoody, GA) were also 2-3 in the game. Warshaw collected a RBI and Eith scored a run for the winners. Walt Anders (2020, Dunwoody, GA) provided the big hit of the game with a triple that drove in 2 runs. Anders finished the game 1-3 with a run scored and 2 RBI.

Warshaw also started the game on the mound and was impressive over his 4 innings of work. He allowed 1 unearned run on 3 hits and struck out 5 batters. His command of the strike zone was impressive as he threw 69% of his 43 pitches for strikes.

Nicholas Watson-Garcia (2019, Salem, GA) led the offense for Elite Gamers RWB. Watson-Garcia finished the game 1-2 with a double, a walk, and a RBI. Joseph Roden (2019, Locust Grove, GA) and Chaz Salter (2019, Mary Persons, GA) were also 1-3 with a RBI each.

Willard Provides Bat and Arm in 7-3 Victory

Home Plate Vandy used a big five-run second inning to go on to defeat the Georgia Raiders 7-3.

Ryder Willard (2020, Northgate, GA) hit a three-run bomb in the second inning to increase Vandy's lead to 5-0. Michael Fitzpatrick (2020, Westfield, GA) hit a solo homer in the first inning to get the scoring going. Miles Bowens (2020, Stephens County, GA) went 2 for 2 with two runs scored. Justin Barnes (2019, Hillgrove, GA) added two hits, a run, and and an RBI.

Winning pitcher Ryder Willard threw three innings of two-run ball. He walked six, gave up four hits, and struck out three.

Peter Warrick (2020, Riverwood, GA) went a perfect 2 for 2 on the day. Dylan Jones (2019, GA) went 3 for 3 with a double and a run scored. Jeremy Clark (2021, Pace Academy, GA) doubled and added two RBIs.

Raiders starter Kalum Banks (2021, South Atlanta Leadership And Economic Empowerment, GA) threw 2.1 innings, giving up one run on four hits.

Kearns Use Productive Offense to Win Big 18-6

The Home Plate Kearns finished off Mizuno Houston Select-Maysey in a shortened five inning game. The Kearns scored 12 in the second and 5 in the fifth, eventually winning big 18-6.

The Kearns pounded out 15 hits to go with the 18 runs they put up. Chay Y. went 2 for 3 with a double, three RBIs, and a run scored. Houston L. went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and three RBIs of his own. He hit a solo homerun in the fourth. Nathan K. had a two-hit game with a double, two runs scored, and an RBI. Jacob J. helped the team out with two hits and one run scored. Legend D. had two hits (one double), two runs, and plated a run in the win.

Burke B. picked up the win for the Kearns as he threw three innings and gave up one earned run. He gave up five hits and struck out eight batters.

Raiders Cruise To 15-0 Victory

The Georgia Raiders showed their offensive might to the tune of 11 team hits and 13 team RBIs as they routed the Home Plate Kearns 15-0 in three innings. Jabari Whitehead (2020, Westlake HS, GA) led the offensive assault by going 2-4 with two runs scored, a stolen base and a game-high five RBIs with a grand slam in the top of the first inning to even out two strikeouts. Dylan Jones (2019, Atlanta, GA) homered in the top of the second and finished 1-2 with two RBIS and two runs scored with Jeremy Clark adding in a perfect 3-3 game at the plate with two RBIs, three runs scored, two stolen bases and a double play.

Kameron Taylor (2022, Stephenson HS, GA) took the win for the Raiders for three scoreless innings on the mound while allowing three hits and two walks while striking out two.

Vandy Dominates in 19-0 Victory

Home Plate Vandy played about as perfect as a team can play, with both the offense and defense rolling to a 19-0 rout of Mizuno Houston Select-Maysey in four innings. The Vandy offense rolled to the tune of 17 team hits and 16 RBIs by 12 different players and were powered by the sheer power of their lineup. Nine players had hits go for extra bases with Austin Aldridge (2020, Woodward Academy, GA), Brock Vandagriff (2020, Woodward Academy, GA), Calin Smith (2020, Mcintosh HS, GA), and Clayton Weatherly (2019, Smith Station HS, GA) all knocking in home runs. Harrison Aulds (2020, First Presbyterian Day HS, GA) picked up the win for Vandy for his no-hitter over four innings on the mound. Aulds walked one and picked up 11 strikeouts on 13 at bats, with the pitcher taking an astonishing 85 percent of all outs by the Vandy defense.

Offense Explodes for Schmits Victory

The Home Plate Schmits flexed their offensive might, knocking in 11 hits and 11 RBIs in a 15-4 rout of the ABA Elite 12U in four innings. The Schmits were powered on offense by hits with extra bases, with six of the 11 team hits going for at least two bases.

Even Eskew (2020, Northgate HS, GA) and Jordan Mitchell (2020, Whitewater HS, GA) were the driving force behind the Schmits' offensive machine with Eskew leading the way with a perfect 3-3 game at the plate with three RBIs and two runs scored by knocking in two homers, one in the top of the first with two outs to start the rout and the other a two-run homer in the top of the third. Mitchell went 2-2 at the plate with three RBIs and two runs scored with a two-run homer in the top of the second and a double. 

Daniel Smith (2020, East Coweta HS, GA) took the win for the Schmits for two innings to start off the game on the mound. Smith allowed three hits and two runs, one earned, while walking one and striking out three before being relieved in the third. 

Art Hahn (2020, Landmark Christian HS, GA) is credited with the loss for ABA Elite for two innings on the mound to start off the game. Hahn allowed six hits and seven runs, six earned, while walking one and striking out three with all three homers being hit off him.

Knights Roll To 7-1 Victory

The IBAHS Knights scored early and got the job done defensively, holding Team Elite Silver scoreless until the sixth inning as they rolled to a 7-1 win in six. Six different Knights registered eight team hits and were sparked by Yanluis Ortiz (2019, International Baseball Academy, PR) and Christian Perez (2019, International Baseball Academy, PR). Ortiz finished 2-4 and picked up three runs scored and knocked a double with Perez adding a 2-3 game with a run scored and a double play. Jadyn Jackson (2019, Stone Mountain HS, GA) paced Team Elite from the 3 slot, going 2-3 and picking up a double. 

Yediel Rodriguez (2019, International Baseball Academy, PR) took home the win for the Knights for four innings on the mound. Rodriguez tossed a perfect no-hitter with no walks, nobody on base and eight strikeouts. 

David Law (2020, Heritage HS, GA) is credited with the loss for Team Elite Silver for five innings on the mound. Lawrence allowed eight hits and six runs, four earned, with no walks and no strikeouts. 

Rangers Blank Team Elite 12-0

The RBI Rangers' bullpen teamed up for a no-hitter and the Rangers dropped an astonishing eleven runs in fourth inning to cruise to a 12-0 win over Team Elite Black in four innings. The Rangers needed only seven hits to reach their 12 runs and were powered by John Beam (2020, Bearden HS, TN) and Matthew "Eli" Turso (2019, Dalton, GA). Both batters knocked in homers in the fourth with Beam picking up a grand slam and finishing 2-3 with four RBIs, a double and a run scored. Turso finished 2-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. 

Turso and Lukas Cook (2020, Hardin Valley HS, GA) teamed up on the mound for the Rangers to keep Team Elite scoreless and hitless. Turso tossed two innings and struck out four with no walks and Cook tossed two and walked three with three strikeouts.

Daniel Fischer (2020, Lambert HS, GA) took the loss for Team Elite for his three and a third innings on the mound. Fischer allowed three hits and four runs, all earned, while walking three and striking out seven with one homer hit.

Cougars Power To 9-4 Victory

The 6-4-3 DP Cougars wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, putting up four runs in the first inning on their way to an easy 9-4 win over Team Halo in five innings. Team Halo back from a 6-1 deficit in the bottom of the fourth to cut the Cougar lead down to three, but got no closer after the Cougars put up three runs in the top of what would be the final inning.

Henry Gies (2020, Dunwoody HS, GA) and Jonathan Douglas (2020, Kennesaw Mountain HS, GA) powered the Cougars' offensive machine with consistency and power throughout with both players picking up homers in the fifth inning to ice the game. Gies went 2-3 and picked up three RBIs and two runs scored from his homer and triple, and Douglas added in a 2-3 game at the plate with two RBIs and two runs scored from a double and his two-run homer. Kobe Harris (2021, Fairburn, GA) sparked Team Halo with a double to kick off the third inning and finished 1-2 with an RBI and a run scored. 

Carter Kozak (2020, Mt. Paran Christian HS, GA) picked up the win for the Cougars for three innings pitched. Kozak allowed five hits but only one earned run while walking one and striking out two.

Truck Whitfield (2020, Atlanta, GA) took the loss for Team Halo for his two innings on the mound. Whitfield allowed five hits and five runs, three earned, while both walking and striking out one.

Offense Explodes in Titans Rout

The Greenville Titans put on an offensive display, knocking in 12 team hits on the way to an 11-3 rout of EAB in five innings. Seven of the Titans' hits went for extra bases as the offense overwhelmed the EAB defense. Caden Grice (2020, Riverside HS, SC), Myles Daniels (2019, Riverside HS, SC), and Hayden Stapleton (2020, Mauldin HS, SC) powered the offense for the Titans with Grice leading the way with a 2-2 game at the plate with a game-high five RBIs and two runs scored helped out by a two-run homer in the bottom of the second. Daniels went a perfect 3-3 in the box with an RBI and a run scored from his double and a triple while Stapleton added in a 2-2 day with an RBI and two runs scored from his two doubles. Corey Lee (2020, South Gwinnett HS, GA) provided a consistent bat for EAB, going 2-2 with a run scored.

Grice did more than just provide a live bat for the Titans, he also picked up the win on the mound for his two innings on the mound. Grice allowed three hits and two runs, both earned, while both walking and striking out three.

Ian King (2020, Archer HS, GA) took the loss for EAB for his one and a third innings on the mound. King allowed eight hits and eight runs, seven earned, while walking none and picking up one strikeout.

Storm blank Team Elite Black 11-0

Signature Park Storm used the power of four long balls to blow Team Elite Black out of the water 11-0. 

The Storm recieved home runs off the bats of  Jack Ihm (2020, Middle School, Buford, GA), Michael Miller (2020, Middle School, Martin, GA), Trey Mullins (2020, Middle School, Buford, GA), and William Webb Jr (2020, Middle School, Carrolton, GA). Ihm drove in three with a single and stolen base as well. Miller also doubled, scored twice and drove in two. Mullins scored twice, drove in one and reached on an error while Webb Jr drove in three with his bomb.

Mullins also threw an inning on the mound, striking out one with a walk and two hits allowed. Peyton Irvin (2019, Middle School, Cornelia, GA) struck out five over two innings, only surrendering one hit.

Davis Mortland (2020, Middle School, Cumming, GA) was 2-2 for Team Elite Black but was stranded on the bases both times. 

6-4-3 DP Cougars drop Greenville Titans 13-5

Four runs in the first inning followed by three more in each of the next three innings lead 6-4-3 DP Cougars to an easy 13-5 win over the Greenville Titans.

Alex Espinel (2019, Middle School, Roswell, GA) was 3-3 for the Cougars, launching a solo homer, double, and came around to score twice. Chandler Stupart (2020, Middle School, Grayson, GA) kicked in a pair of singles, two runs scored and an RBI while Jonathan Douglas (2020, Middle School, Kennesaw, GA) stole two bases, walked, singled twice, scored twice and drove in one. Anthony DiMola (2020, Middle School, Cumming, GA) allowed just one run through three innings, striking out four with no walks and three hits allowed. 

Caden Grice (2020, Middle School, Taylors, SC) hit a two-run homer for the Titans but it was not enough as the Cougars just kept piling it on. Hayden Stapleton (2020, Middle School, Greenville, SC) was 2-3 with two runs scored, and Truman Roper (2020, Middle School, Greenville, SC) was 1-2 with an RBI and a stolen base. Will Potter (2020, Middle School, Greer, SC) threw a scoreless inning of relief, striking out one.

EAB knocks off Team Halo 10-6

A pair of huge innings to start the game powered EAB to a 10-6 victory over Team Halo.

Cory Lee (2020, Middle School, Loganville, GA) was the thump in the EAB line up, hitting a double, launching a home run, scoring twice, and driving home three. Miles Garrett (2020, Middle School, Stone Mountain, GA) tripled and walked, stealing two bases with two runs scored and an RBI. Allen Del Castillo (2019, Middle School, Lawrenceville, GA) was 2-2 with a triple, two runs scored, a stolen base, single, and one RBI. 

Jaylen Paden (2020, Middle School, Lilburn, GA) handled the pitching, striking out three in four innings with two walks, eight hits, a hit batter and six runs (four earned) allowed. 

Jaden Browning (2021, Middle School, Fairburn, GA) drove in two for Team Halo, singling twice with a stolen base as well. Michael Braswell (2020, Middle School, Mableton, GA) doubled, was hit by a pitch, scored twice and drove in one while Khari Gee (2021, Middle School, Atlanta, GA) was 1-2 with an RBI, run scored and a stolen base.


MLB UYA Scored Two Runs in Last Inning to Win

The MLB UYA South defeated the East Cobb Pride 10-8 in six innings. 

Kenneth Ward (2020, Houston, TX) finished 2-3 with a homer and single. He drove in four runs while scoring twice in the game. Eddie Davis IV (2019, Slidell, LA) contributed going 1-4 and scoring once. The team as a whole could only knock out four hits. Sergio Garcia (2020, Houston, TX) finished with the fourth hit and scoring once. 

Deionte Norris (2019, Slidell, TX) staretd and pitched the majority of the game with three innings. He scattered five hits and only three earned runs. He was able to strike out four batters while only walking one.

Dean OBrien (2020, Woodstock, GA) led the surge for the Pride finishing 2-3 with a homer and a single. He tallied three RBIs and two runs. Noah Dawkins (2020, Marietta, GA) finished 1-2 with two RBIs and a run. He collected the second home run for the team. Tripp Hochman (2020, Canton, GA) added a hit and a run. 

13 Run First Inning Leads to Short Game

The West Raleigh 12U defeated the Team Elite South Forsyth 17-2 in three innings. The West Raleigh team tallied 13 runs in the first inning.

Nolan McLean (2020, Willow Springs, NC) collected two hits, with both being homers. He ended with five RBIs and two runs in the game. Jake DeFranco (2020, Hillsborough, NC) and Colby Gallimore (2019, Raleigh, NC) finished 1-2 with two RBIs and one run. Lane Rhodes (2019, Fuquay Varina, NC) went a perfect 1-1 with two RBIs and a run. Garrett McCraw (2019, Holly Springs, NC) also went perfect with three hits in three at bats. He scored three times. Matt Willadsen () helped out going 1-1 with a RBI and scoring three runs. 

Willadsen also pitched for the team going the three innings. He let two hits fall with only one earned run score. He struck out five batters and only walked one. 

Trey Baker (2020, Cumming, GA) and Ford Kelly (2020, Cumming, GA) were the only players for the Team Elite South Forsyth to provide offense with one hit each. 

Errors Don't Hurt S3 Texas in 3 Run Win

The S3 Texas defeated the Elite Gamers RWB 10-7 in five innings. The game was tied going into the top of the fifth, when S3 Texas tallied three runs. 

Gilbert Escobedo (2020, Jersey Village, TX) went 2-3 with a homer and a single for S3 Texas. He drove in four of the ten runs. He was able to touch home twice in the game. Simon Castillo (2020, San Antonio, TX) added on two hits of his own with two singles. He drove in a run and scored three times. Liam Norris (2020, Corpus Christi, TX) roped a two run double and touched home once. Christian Martinez (2020, Corpus Christi, TX) went two innings pitching for the team. He let two hits fall while striking out six batters and walking one. 

Nicholas Watson-Garcia (2019, Conyers, GA) led the surge for the Gamers going a perfect 2-2 and driving in four runs and touching home once. Alex Freeland (2020, Hoschton, GA) added a homer in the game finishing 1-2. Corey Collins (2020, Suwanee, GA) pitched the majority of the game for the Gamers only allowing five earned runs and striking out four batters. 

Jaxson W. Leads Dragons to 13-1 Win

The Dunwoody Dragons defeated the SBO Travel Team Florida 13-1 in four innings.

Jaxson Warshaw (2020, Dunwoody, GA) led the offensive surge for the Dragons going a perfect 3-3 with a double and two singles. He drove in three runs and scored twice. Charles Taylor (2020, Dunwoody, GA) and Tyler Eith (2020, Dunwoody, GA) each went 2 for 3 and collected a RBI and three runs. Taylor collected a triple and a single and Eith tallied a double and a single. Walt Anders (2020, Dunwoody, GA) added on with a two RBI double and a run scored. 

Anders pitched the second half of the game allowing two hits and no runs. He was able to strike out one batter. 

Big Third Inning Leads Home Plate Rally

Home Plate Schmits scored six runs in the top of the third inning to rally for an 8-7 victory over Team Elite Silver on Friday.

Trevor Crews (2019, Upson-Lee, GA) and Evan Eskew (2020, Northgate, GA) led Home Plate with two runs batted in each, and Elijah Hilton (2019, Fayette County, GA) added two runs scored in the victory. Eskew also added a home run.

Thomas Ramey (2020, East Coweta, GA) earned the victory on the mound for Home Plate.

Jadyn Jackson (2019, Stone Mountain, GA) was the offensive leader for Elite Silver, as he drove in three runs with three hits and a run scored.

Landon Marks (2020, Piedmont Academy, GA) pitched well in relief for Elite Silver, as he tossed 2.1 scoreless, hitless frames.

Knights Roll to 8-0 Victory

IBAHS Knights scored four first inning runs to take a lead they would never relinquish in an 8-0 victory over ABA Elite 12U on Friday.

Luis G. Castro (2019, International Baseball Academy, PR) drove in four runs with three runs scored, and Yanluis Ortiz (2019, International Baseball Academy, PR) bashed a home run and drove in three runs. Angel Andrades (2019, International Baseball Academy, PR) added two hits in the victory.

Charlie Paige (2021, Newnan, GA) led ABA Elite with two hits in the loss.

Shadai Colon (2019, International Baseball Academy, PR) tossed a five-inning complete game, allowing just four hits with no strikeouts.

EC Pride come back to win 9-8

East Cobb Pride picked up two runs in the top of the fifth and last inning to take home the win 9-8 over Team Elite South Forsyth.

Austin Tienda (2020, Middle School, Woodstock, GA) was 3-3 with a homer, double, and four RBI for the Pride. Colt Taylor (2020, Middle School, Acworth, GA) dropped one over the fence, knocking in two. Tripp Hochman (2020, Middle School, Canton, GA) singled twice and scored three runs.

Taylor was brought in for the last 2.1 innings, allowing one run on two hits with no walks and a strike out. 

Trey Baker (2020, Middle School, Cumming, GA) was a one-man wrecking ball for Team Elite South Forsyth, launching two homers - a grand slam and solo shot - for five RBI. Miles Hartsfield (2020, Middle School, Cumming, GA) picked up a double and scored once, Ryan Todd (2020, Middle School, Milton, GA) doubled as well, driving in one and scoring once. Joshua Vekselman (2020, Middle School, Cumming, GA) also singled twice in the game. 

Jack Kream (2020, Middle School, Cumming, GA) worked an inning on the mound, only allowing one run on a solo homer.  


West Raleigh 12U beat MLB UYA 12-3

The score was tied 3-3 after the first inning before West Raleigh 12U brought the boom stick, scoring nine unanswered runs in the following two innings over MLB Urban Youth Academy South.

Colby Gallimore (2019, Middle School, Raleigh, NC) knocked one out, driving in three. Matt Willadsen (2019, Middle School, Holly Springs, NC) also left the yard, hitting a three-run homer, and Nolan McLean (2020, Middle School, Willow Springs, NC) went yahtzee as well, hitting a solo shot with a single as well. Garrett McCraw (2019, Middle School, Holly Springs, NC) doubled twice in the contest, scoring two runs with an RBI and a walk. Lane Rhodes (2019, Middle School, Fuqua Varina, NC) doubled, walked, and drove in two. 

McCraw got the start and went three innings, striking out five with two walks and two hits allowed. Penn Sealey (2019, Middle School, Raleigh, NC) threw two hitless innings in relief, striking out three with no walks.

Cullan Ziegler (2020, Middle School, Lacombe, LA) came on in relief for the MLB Urban Youth Academy South, dancing around three walks and three hits through 2.1 innings. Shane Goins (2020, Middle School, Metairie, LA) launched a three run homer in the first, his only hit of the game.

Elite Gamers RWB hit 6 HR in 20-0 win

Elite Gamers RWB absolutely manhandled the SBO Travel Team Florida squad 20-0 behind six home runs and nine extra base hits. 

Corey Collins (2020, Middle School, Suwanee, GA) hit two home runs, scoring and driving in three. Patrick Holloman (2020, Middle School, McDonough, GA) also hit two out, driving in three as well with two runs scored. Nicholas Watson-Garcia (2019, Middle School, Conyers, GA) left the yard, scored twice and drove in two, also picking up a walk. Langston Taylor (2019, Middle School, McDonough, GA) also hit one out, a three run jack. Ty Kaufman (2020, Middle School, McDonough, GA), Jack Witmer (2020, Middle School, McDonough, GA), and Joseph Roden (2019, Middle School, McDonough, GA) all doubled with Kaufman scoring twice, Witmer driving three home and Roden scoring once.

Roden threw a scoreless inning with a walk and strike out. Chaz Salter (2019, Middle School, McDonough, GA) followed with two scoreless, striking out three with one walk. 

Alfredo Leguilu (2019, Middle School, Naguabo, Puerto Rico) and Edgar S were the only two SBO players to reach base, both via a walk. 

S3 Texas blows out Dragons 9-3

A five-run third inning powered S3 Texas over the Dunwoody Dragons.

Justin Flores (2019, Undecided, Cypress, TX) went deep and knocked in two. Christian Martinez (2020, Undecided, Corpus Christi, TX) also bombed one over the fences, also driving in two. Alejandro Betancourt (2019, Middle School, Brownsville, TX) had two RBI's as well, Rafael Perales (2019, Middle School, Brownsville, TX) scored twice, and Gilbert Escobedo (2020, Undecided, Jersey Village, TX) scored twice.

Simon Castillo (2020, Middle School, San Antonio, TX) threw 2.2 scoreless innings for S3, striking out three with two walks and one hit allowed. 

Tyler Eith (2020, Middle School, Dunwoody, GA) drove in one of the two RBI's for the Dragons, and Cody Gaynes (2020, Middle School, Dunwoody, GA) picked up the other.  


Team Elite Silver wins with 17 runs!!

Team Elite Silver top ABA Elite 12U behind Jadyn J's 4 hits, 17-4. Jadyn Jackson (Stone Mountain, Stone Mountain, GA 2019) racked up six RBI's on four hits for Team Elite Silver. He singled in the second and fourth innings and homered in the first and fifth innings. Clay Stephenson (Landmark Christian, Fairburn, GA 2020) and Miles Cook (Northgate, Sharpsburg, GA 2020) were the hot hitters for the ABA Elite 12U. Clay went 3-3 with scoring one run and had two RBIs. Miles went 1-2 for the day and scored one run. Team Elite Silver as a team had seventeen runs and fifteen hits.

Team Elite Silver hammered ABA Elite 12U pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for fourteen hits, thirteen RBIs and fifteen runs scored. Sean White (Starrs Mill, Fayetteville, GA 2021) lasted only 1 1/3 innings on the hill for ABA Elite 12U before he left the game. He allowed six hits and eight runs.

IBAHS Knights jumps on Home Plate Schmits early and coasts to 10-0 win. Seven runs in first three innings allowed IBAHS Knights to put the game away early. Angel Andrades (International Baseball Academy, Humacao, PR 2019) racked up four RBIs on two hits for IBAHS Knights. Cameron Foster (Whitewater, Fayetteville, GA 2019) was the only hot hitter today for the Home Plate Schmitts. He went 1-1 for the day and had one walk. IBAHS Knights as a team scored ten runs with nine hits.

Yanluis Ortiz (International Baseball Academy, Loiza, PR 2019) looked good on the mound today. Home Plate Schmits only managed one hit off of the IBAHS Knights' pitcher. He allowed no earned runs, walked five and struck out eight during his 4 1/3 innings of work. Daniel Smith (East Coweta, Newnan, GA 2020) took the loss for Home Plate Schmits. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.

Georgia Raiders beat Mizuno Houston.

All-round effort leads the Georgia Raiders past Mizuno Houston Select-Maysey 2-1 victory. Max Webb (Johns Creek, Johns Creek, GA 2020) powered the Georgia Raiders at the plate and on the hill Friday, helping the Raiders get the victory. He went 2-3 at the plate today with scoring two runs. He also singled in the first and third innings. Adam Zimmermann (Lutheran South Academy, Pearland, TX 2019) and William Sweeney (Friendswood, Friendswood, TX 2019) were the hot bats today for the Mizuno Houston Select-Maysey. Adam went 1-2 for the day and scored one run. William went 2-2 for the day.

Max Webb was a workhorse on the hill for the Georgia Radiers. He allowed no earned runs, four hits, and one walk while striking out three over 5 1/3 innings of work. Miguel Leon (Friendswood, Friendswood, Friendswood, TX 2019) was the other pitcher today for Mizuno Houston Select-Maysey. He tossed three innnings worth while giving up three hits, two runs, and striking out five.

Mullins Powers Signature Park Storm to 7-5 Victory

(Alec Dopp) - Signature Park Storm wrapped up its first win at the 2014 12u BCS Finals Friday morning at East Cobb Complex Field 7, due in no small part to the offensive production from Trey Mullins (2020, Mill Creek HS, GA), who went 2-for-3 with two home runs, three runs scored and three runs batted in against RBI Rangers en route to the 7-5 win.

Mullins, a 5-foot-2 shortstop from Buford, Ga., recorded a team-high eight total bases in the game, but wasn't the only player to go yard for Signature Park Storm. Michael Miller (2020, Franklin County HS, GA) also cleared the fences, helping him go 1-for-1 with two runs scored, one run batted in and a walk. William Webb Jr. (2020, Carrollton HS, GA) was one of six pitchers who recorded exactly one inning pitched for Signature Park Storm in the game, but was the only to punch out one batter without conceding an earned run to touch home.

Hunter Hodson (2019, Gordon Lee HS, GA) led the way offensively for RBI Rangers, going 2-for-3 (both hits doubles) with a team-high three runs batted in. John Beam (2020, Bearden HS, TN), tallied the most innings pitched (2.2) for the Rangers, but allowed three earned runs to touch home despite not allowing a hit during his time of work. He also struck out and walked three batters, and recorded seven of 11 potential first-pitch strikes.

Offense Lifts Greenville over Team Halo

(Alec Dopp) - Greenville Titans scored in all but one inning of its 12u BCS Finals tournament-opening game against Team Halo Friday morning at East Cobb Complex Field 6, which was more than enough to overcome the two-run deficit the club faced in the first inning en route to the 10-4 victory.

Myles Daniels (2019, Riverside HS, SC) got the start and winning decision on the mound for Greenville, logging three full innings in which he conceded one earned run to cross home. Despite recording first-pitch strikes to just five of the 13 batters he faced, he battled back to strike out four hitters in the game. Caden Grice (2020, Riverside HS, SC) led the way offensively for the Titans, going 2-for-3 with a triple, run batted in and run scored.

Jaden Browning (2021, Fairburn, GA) and Michael Braswell (2020, Mableton, GA) doubled in the loss for Team Halo, while catcher Kobe Harris (2021, Fairburn, GA) went 1-for-2 with a stolen base. Karson Proctor (2020, McDonough, GA) recorded two innings of relief for Team Halo, but allowed four earned runs to touch home on four hits and three walks compared to two strikeouts.

(Alec Dopp) - Despite accumulating a team total of just four hits over six innings of play, EAB managed to pull out a 7-5 tournament-opening victory over 6-4-3 DP Cougars Friday morning at East Cobb Complex Field 4. Miles Garrett's (2020, Parkview HS, GA) line drive double brought home two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, giving EAB the walkoff victory.

Garrett, a 5-foot-5 third baseman from Stone Mountain, Georgia, finished 1-for-2 with a run scored, run batted in and walk over three plate appearances for EAB. He also pitched two scoreless innings of relief in which he struck out one and induced five ground-ball outs (no air outs), while starting pitcher Jordan Walker (2020, Decatur HS, GA) punched out four, walked two and allowed three earned runs to cross home in his outing.

6-4-3 DP Cougars received offensive production from Jonathan Douglas (2020, Kennesaw Mountain HS, GA), Henry Gies (2020, Dunwoody HS, GA) and Bryce Thompson (2019, Allatoona HS, GA), three position players who recorded doubles in the game. Thompson, a right-handed pitcher, started on the mound for the Cougars, recording three innings in which he allowed five earned runs to cross home on two hits, two walks and two strikeouts.
