Barbe (La.) continued their winning ways, extending their winning steak to 20 games this week to hold onto the No. 1 ranking. Archbishop McCarthy climbs back into the top two after moving up a spot this week. McCarthy has not been ranked outside of the top three spots at any point this season and have been in the top two for six of the past seven weeks.

Cypress Ranch (Texas) had a big week and moved up five spots to No. 11 after sweeping nationally ranked Langham Creek. It was a strong bounce back week for the Mustangs who had hit a mini-skid the week prior and dropped 10 spots to No. 16 as a result. Fellow Houston representative Pearland moves into the top five for the first time this week, coming in at No. 3.

A trio of California teams made big moves as a result of winning their respective tournaments. Rancho Bernardo, led by soon to be first round pick Alex Jackson, climbs four spots to No. 6 after capturing the San Diego Lions championship this week.  Elk Grove enters the fray at No. 21 for the first time this season with a highly impressive run to capture the northern section title at the Boras Classic, the Herd will take on Temecula Valley for the Boras Classic state championship on May 3. Elk Grove moved to 12-4 on the season by knocking off No. 5 St. Francis in the Boras Classic northern section title game. Clovis also won their tournament, the Fresno Easter Classic, and climbed four spots to No. 27.

The Centennial State saw a shakeup, as their lone representative up to this point, ThunderRidge (Colo.) fell from the top 50, and was replaced by two new entrants. Mountain Vista enters the PG top 50 for the first time in school history after knocking off ThunderRidge as part of a 2-0 week to move to 13-1 on the season to land at No. 32. Regis Jesuit also joins the top 50, debuting at No. 34 after not only entended their winning streak to eight games, but also got a shot in the arm when All-American left hander David Peterson returned to the mound several weeks earlier than expected.

The other new addition this week is No. 50 Moeller (Ohio).
