It’s not always the flashiest of prospects that end up making the best draft picks. Right off the bat, describing a draft prospect as less than flashy doesn’t sound flattering, but there really is something to be said for a solid set of tools across the board that lacks a distinct weakness of any kind. Fresno State outfielder Jordan Luplow became of those players in the eyes of scouts last summer. A player that seemed to improve with greater exposure to elite competition, Luplow has truly earned his status to this point as a draft prospect. Much of his stock will hinge on his ability to follow-up with a strong spring, but he’s certainly put himself in a good position to start.
