The world was introduced to Jonathon Crawford in a pretty dramatic way at the beginning of last summer. Of course, he was a known commodity before this particular point, but there’s denying that this was the moment that put him officially on the map. The Florida Gators were matched up against Bethune-Cookman in the opening game of the Gainesville Regional, and it was Crawford that they sent to the mound. At that point, Crawford’s resume wasn’t exactly deep, but by the end of the night he would be talked about as one of the best pitchers in the 2013 draft class. The hard throwing right-hander tossed a no hitter that night, needing only 98 pitches to do so, while walking just one batter.
