CB TICKET: Weekly winners/losers column

All the stars seem to be aligning for Florida State so far this season.

The Seminoles entered the 2012 campaign with a host of question marks, but they've adequately answered those questions thus far. The starting rotation, even loaded with freshmen, has been fantastic for the most part. Meanwhile, the offense simply hasn't skipped a beat with outfielder James Ramsey leading the charge.

FSU had another outstanding week that included a road series sweep over Georgia Tech. For that reason and more, the Seminoles vault to No. 1 in the latest Perfect Game Top 50 rankings.

Previously No. 1 Florida dropped to No. 5 this week following a tough home series loss to LSU. Meanwhile, the Tigers were big winners this week, moving from No. 12 to No. 4 after the road series win over the Gators. Also worth noting, Texas A&M climbed from No. 9 to No. 3 after sweeping Oklahoma and having a perfect week, while Kentucky comes in at No. 2 this week after taking two of three at home from Mississippi.

Other notables include North Carolina and UCLA dropping to No's 9 and 10, respectively, and Baylor moving up the rankings from No. 18 to No. 13 following yet another outstanding week.

Teams that dropped out of this week's rankings include UC Irvine, Southeastern Louisiana and Wake Forest, while new entrants include Indiana State, Dallas Baptist and Portland.

The PG Top 50 is released each Monday morning during the college baseball season.
