Once and for all, Oral Roberts hopes to leave a lasting impression on the Summit League.

The Golden Eagles have had an amazing run in the league, and that trend isn’t expected to end in their final season. ORU will move to the Southland Conference beginning in 2013, but there’s still some work to be done.

ORU welcomes back one of the region’s best pitchers in sophomore ace Alex Gonzalez, while senior Drew Bowen and Kurt Giller, who redshirted last season, are expected to help formulate an outstanding weekend rotation.

The Golden Eagles also will be productive at the plate with Cam Schiller and Brandon King as the big boppers coming off very impressive campaigns.

No other team is expected to contend with ORU for the title, but keep an eye on Southern Utah shortstop Bo Cuthbertson. He’s an outstanding hitter who is coming off a campaign where he finished with an amazing .432 batting average.

The league title is ORU’s to lose.
