Fresno State is ready to get back to business. By business, we mean the Bulldogs once again aspire to reach the College World Series.

The Bulldogs thought they might return last season. But after winning the WAC tournament and entering the Los Angeles Regional as the No. 4 seed, they were unable to emulate the same heroics that took the nation by storm during their national title campaign.

Fresno has one of the West Coast’s elite hitters in outfielder Aaron Judge, while sophomore left-handed pitcher Tyler Linehan is expected to have a big-time campaign. The Bulldogs also have a pair of excellent freshmen in shortstop Chris Mariscal and outfielder Jordan Ludlow.

While the Bulldogs lead the WAC, starting pitcher Zack Jones and San Jose State are right behind them at the No. 2 spot. Meanwhile, New Mexico State finally has a team it feels can reach an NCAA Regional.
