Here is an early look at the top prospects from this weekends Sunshine East Showcase. A more complete list will follow after all of the scouting notes have been compiled and reports have been completed.
1. RHP Jordan Parnell (2013, Jesuit HS, Tampa, FL): The tall, projectable righty is a propsect to watch on what could be one of the top high school teams in the country next year. Parnell led all pitchers with a velocity of 90 mph, also showing a low 70s curveball and mid-70s changeup. He showed clean arm action and arm speed, striking out seven in four innings of work.
