Virginia put together an amazing regular season campaign, but picked the final weekend to have a setback. The Cavaliers were swept by North Carolina over the weekend, and South Carolina, which took two of three on the road against Alabama, climbed back into the No. 1 spot in the Perfect Game Top 25 rankings.

Elsewhere around the rankings, Oregon State dropped from No. 4 to No. 7 after a series loss to USC, Florida State dropped from No. 5 to No. 8 after a series loss to Clemson, North Carolina vaulted from No. 15 to No. 10 after sweeping Virginia, Rice vaulted from No. 22 to No. 15 after taking a huge road series from Southern Mississippi and Fresno State dropped from No. 14 to No. 25 after getting swept by Cal State Bakersfield.

Stetson is the only team to depart from the rankings. The Hatters had a rough week that included a home series loss to Belmont. As a result, UCLA, which won two of three against California over the weekend, entered the rankings for the first time in several weeks at No. 24.

The conference breakdowns are as follows:  ACC 6, SEC 4, Big 12 3, Pac-10 3, Conference USA 2, Sun Belt 2 and Big East, Mid-American, MWC, Big West, and WAC all with one representative.
