Oregon State is proof there’s no substitute for motivation.

Before the season began, all the talk inside the State of Oregon and around the country centered on Oregon, the Beavers’ chief rival. OSU, meanwhile, was expected to be an NCAA Regional team. But on Oregon’s level? That wasn’t expected.

Well, the Beavers have far exceeded expectations so far this season with an outstanding 27-7 overall record and league-leading 8-1 mark in Pac-10 play. The Ducks, though, are 17-16 with a 2-7 mark in the Pac-10.

The motivated Beavers hit the road over the weekend and swept Stanford. They headline our list of winners as a result. Oregon, meanwhile, hit the road and lost two of three to USC. The Ducks headline our list of losers.

We take an inside look at college baseball’s weekly winners and losers.
