Vanderbilt has one of the nation's top arms in right-handed pitcher Sonny Gray, and now is the nation's top team in the Perfect Game Top 25 rankings after hitting the road last week and taking two of three from Arkansas.
The Commodores vaulted to the to spot in part because of their weekend performance, and also because South Carolina, which moved from No. 5 to No. 3 in our rankings, hit the road and took two of three from previously No. 1 Florida. The Gators dropped three spots from No. 1 to No. 4.
Texas and Oklahoma dropped out of the top 10 this week, while Fresno State and Texas A&M entered. The Bulldogs had another fantastic week that included a series sweep over San Diego, while the Aggies allowed no earned runs in a home series sweep over Kansas. Fresno comes in at No. 8 while the Aggies are No. 9.
Oregon State and Baylor vaulted to No's 19 and 20, respectively, while Tulane and Clemson dropped to No's 23 and 25, respectively, after weekend series losses.
Southern Mississippi and Stetson are the new entrants to the rankings. The Golden Eagles entered at No. 22 after taking a weekend series from Tulane, while the Hatters entered at No. 24 after a great week that included a win over Florida State.
The conference breakdowns are as follows: Pac-10 6, ACC 5, SEC 4, Big 12 4, Conference USA 2 and MWC, Big West, Atlantic Sun and WAC all with one representative.

1. Vanderbilt (22-3)
Previous ranking: 2, Weekly record: 3-1
The Commodores vaulted to the top spot after a great week that included a midweek win over Tennessee and a road series win over Arkansas.
2. Virginia (24-2)
Previous ranking: 3, Weekly record: 5-0
The Cavaliers had another fabulous week that included a midweek series sweep over Towson and a weekend series sweep over Maryland with strong pitching leading the way.
3. South Carolina (18-5)
Previous ranking: 5, Weekly record: 4-1
The Gamecocks couldn't have had a better week on the diamond. They won midweek affairs against College of Charleston and Rhode Island before taking two of three from Florida.
4. Florida (21-4)
Previous ranking: 1, Weekly record: 3-2
The Gators started the week with a midweek series sweep over Winthrop before staying at home and dropping two of three to South Carolina over the weekend.
5. Georgia Tech (21-4)
Previous ranking: 8, Weekly record: 4-0
The Yellow Jackets have the nation's longest winning streak and are doing a fantastic job on the mound. They swept Miami on the road in ACC action last week.
6. Florida State (18-6)
Previous ranking: 4, Weekly record: 2-2
The Seminoles started the week with a midweek setback against Stetson before taking two of three from Wake Forest at home over the weekend.
7. Arizona State (18-6)
Previous ranking: 7, Weekly record: 3-2
The Sun Devils had yet another solid week. They split a midweek series with Cal State Fullerton before returning home and taking two of three from rival Arizona.
8. Fresno State (18-2)
Previous ranking: 14, Weekly record: 4-0
The Bulldogs are having a campaign to remember so far this spring. They beat Ohio State earlier in the week before sweeping a home series from San Diego.
9. Texas A&M (19-5)
Previous ranking: 15, Weekly record: 4-0
The Aggies defeated SFA earlier in the week in midweek action before staying at home and sweeping Kansas in a series in which they allowed no earned runs in three games.
10. Cal State Fullerton (16-8)
Previous ranking: 9, Weekly record: 5-1
The Titans move a spot to make room for Fresno State and A&M, but had a fantastic week in their own right. The Titans split midweek games with Arizona State before hitting the road and sweeping Hawaii with eight players suspended.
11. Texas (17-7)
Previous ranking: 6, Weekly record: 2-2
The Longhorns defeated Houston Baptist earlier in the week in midweek action before hitting the road and dropping a series to Oklahoma State with little offensive production.
12. Oklahoma (19-6)
Previous ranking: 10, Weekly record: 2-1
The Sooners split a snows-shortened two-game series with Missouri before finishing the weekend with a win over St. Gregory's in a makeup game.
13. TCU (15-8)
Previous ranking: 11 , Weekly record: 3-1
The Horned Frogs had a solid week on the diamond, but showed signs of weakness. They beat Texas State in midweek action before taking two of three from Houston.
14. Stanford (10-6)
Previous ranking: 12, Weekly record: 4-1
The Cardinal had a solid week on the diamond that included midweek wins over UC Davis and Santa Clara and a home weekend series win over Long Beach State.
15. California (16-5)
Previous ranking: 16, Weekly record: 4-0
The Golden Bears couldn't have asked for a better week. They defeated Nevada in midweek action before sweeping Washington State and allowing just three runs in three games.
16. North Carolina (23-3)
Previous ranking: 19, Weekly record: 5-0
The Tar Heels still have the meat of their schedule coming up, but had another fantastic week that included wins over UNC Wilmington and High Point, and a weekend series sweep over Duke.
17. LSU (17-7)
Previous ranking: 13, Weekly record: 1-3
The Tigers had another tough week on the diamond. They dropped a midweek affair to Louisiana-Lafayette before hitting the road and losing two of three to Georgia.
18. Arizona (17-7)
Previous ranking: 17, Weekly record: 2-2
The Wildcats had just an OK week on the diamond. They defeated San Francisco to begin the week before dropping two of three to rival Arizona State over the weekend.
19. Oregon State (18-6)
Previous ranking: 24, Weekly record: 3-2
The Beavers were the lucky recipients of some bad play by other teams in the rankings. They split a pair of midweek games with Seattle before taking two of three from UC Santa Barbara over the weekend.
20. Baylor (16-8)
Previous ranking: 25, Weekly record: 3-1
The Bears bounced back from their series loss to Texas Tech in impressive fashion, beating Texas-Arlington in midweek action before taking two of three from Kansas State at home.
21. UCLA (11-8)
Previous ranking: 21, Weekly record: 3-2
The Bruins split a pair of games with Cal Poly earlier in the week before returning home and taking two of three from rival USC in an important series.
22. Southern Mississippi (18-5)
Previous ranking: NR, Weekly record: 3-2
The Golden Eagles went 1-1 in midweek action against Louisiana-Monroe and South Alabama before returning home and taking two of three from Tulane.
23. Tulane (18-6)
Previous ranking: 20, Weekly record: 2-2
The Green Wave defeated Nicholls State in midweek action before hitting the road and dropping two of three to Southern Miss in a huge Conference USA showdown.
24. Stetson (20-5)
Previous ranking: NR, Weekly record: 4-1
The Hatters are having a great campaign and are coming off a great week that included a midweek triumph over Florida State and a weekend series win over East Tennessee State.
25. Clemson (13-9)
Previous ranking: 22, Weekly record: 3-2
The Tigers looked great in a two-game midweek series against Elon before injuries took their toll in an ACC weekend series loss to N.C. State.
