PG High School Coverage Overview

Perfect Game will be expanding its high school baseball coverage for the 2011 season. Throughout the year, Perfect Game High School will be your source of high school baseball news and notes. Feature stories on top teams and players will appear on Perfect Game High School.

We will also be introducing several other new features that are outlined below. Be sure to check back in the coming weeks.
 

A. Comprehensive State-by-State Season Preview

A capsule on every state’s high school baseball season: start dates, state tournament info, 2010 champions, and highlight players to watch.

Season Preview-February 14

B. National High School Team Rankings

We’ll provide pre-season Top 50 rankings of the nation’s top high-school teams, then rank the teams on a weekly basis throughout the course of the 2011 season. The final team rankings will include 100 teams.

Pre-Season Ranking-February 25

C. Regional High School Team Rankings

In addition to National Rankings, we will also release rankings for each region beginning 4 weeks after the start of the season. After the initial release each regional ranking will updated weekly.

Pacific (CA,HI)-Week of March 21-27

Southeast (AR, LA, MS, AL, GA)-Week of Week of March 21-27

Texahoma (TX, OK)-Week of March 28-April 3

Mid-Atlantic (SC, NC, VA, MD, DC, WV, DE)-Week of April 4-April 10

Southwest (NM, AZ, NV, UT)-Week of April 11-17

Midwest (WI, IL, IN, MI, OH, KY)- Week of April 18-24

Great Plains (CO, MO, IA, MN, NE, KS, ND)-Week of Week of April 18-24

Northeast (PA, NJ, NY, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, ME)-Week of April 25-May 2

Northwest (WA, OR, ID, AK) April 25-May 2

D. National Game of the Week

Each week we will highlight a key matchup as our National Game of the Week. This feature will include a preview and recap of the top matchup from around the country.

First National Game of the Week- Week of February 18
 
E. Who’s Hot

This feature will highlight the top individual performances from around the country. Coaches are urged to submit nominations. A submission link will be provided at the top of the Perfect Game High School page.

F. Recruit Scoop

Throughout the season, news of players making their college commitment will be featured in our Recruit Scoop blog. Players are urged to update their commitments on their player profile.
