Baseball’s Biggest Scouting Event

The PG/BA World Championship

Everything is set to go in Jupiter, FL. for Baseball’s Largest Scouting Event.

Many of the outstanding National Level Teams have already signed up for the October event. Other teams have qualified through qualifying tournaments. Teams and players from all over the country will converge on the Marlins/Cardinals Spring Training site for this year’s event.

Over 300 scouts and colleges have pre-registered to attend. Never before have we received so much early response from scouts and college coaches. Perhaps there will be an even larger turnout than past years. In each of the last several years 500 to 600 scouts and college coaches have attended the World Wood Bat Championship.

This one tournament has produced over 900 draft picks including more than 50 first rounders in just the past 3 years. A few new major leaguers were scouted in Jupiter during that time. Scott Kazmir, BJ Upton, Jeremy Bonderman, David Wright, Zach Greinke and other early picks like Matt Bush, Delmon Young, Chad Billingsley, Jeff Allison, Ian Stewart, Trevor Plouffe, Chris Gruler, Jeremy Sowers, the list goes on and on of high draft picks competing in the World Wood Bat Championship in Jupiter. While there are over 1,500 players competing, the event gets scouted completely. After all there’s more than one scout for every 3 players.

We have been assured by the people at the complex that everything is a 100% go, despite the recent bad weather in the area. We look forward to the best tournament yet. Anyone interested in attending please email pgjerry@qwest.net

PG will also be holding events in the Ft Myers area starting later this month. This includes the National Underclass Tournament. Everything is ready to go in Ft Myers as well. Look for more information on this website and worldwoodbat.com as we get closer to the events.
