2014 Freshman All-Americans

Many freshmen made instant impacts throughout the 2014 college baseball season, and no one made as much of an impact as Florida righthanded pitcher Logan Shore, who earned Perfect Game Freshman of the Year honors earlier this week.

While Shore leads the nation's freshmen, plenty throughout the selection process were deserving of accolades. In the end, though, tough decisions were made as we unveil the 2014 Perfect Game College Freshman All-America teams.

Vanderbilt, Loyola Marymount and Miami each put two players on the first team, with the Commodores led by outfielder Bryan Reynolds and reliever Hayden Stone, the Lions led by shortstop David Fletcher and outfielder Austin Miller, and the Hurricanes spearheaded by hard-hitting designated hitter Zack Collins and reliever Bryan Garcia.

Other teams including College of Charleston, Maryland, Texas and Ohio State placed two players on the two teams combined. Charleston pitcher Bailey Ober and first baseman Nick Pappas earned first and second team honors, respectively, while the same can be said for Terps second baseman Brandon Lowe and pitcher Mike Shawaryn. Texas placed elite catcher Tres Barrera and righthanded pitcher Morgan Cooper on the teams. Ohio State outfielder Ronnie Dawson and starting pitcher Tanner Tully each earned second team honors.

The future of college baseball is unveiled.
