Barco has been a mainstay on the 2019 top prospect list since he entered high school and has posted a 30-4, 1.48 record for The Bolles School during that time, including going 3-1 as an eighth grader. The highly athletic southpaw works in the 90-93 mph range with a very lively fastball from a low three-quarters arm slot to go with an outstanding changeup and a sharp breaking slider. Barco is also a potential two-way college player who recently participated in the MLB high school home run derby as part of this year’s All-Star Game festivities.
