Mitchell is a strong and mature lefthanded hitter with a very mature approach at the plate. He hit 12 home runs for Rancho Bernardo High School this spring but has stood out this summer for his ability to drive the ball hard to left-center field against the highest level pitching and rarely turns in anything but a quality at-bat. He'll be able to play either corner outfield position at the next level and will probably see action at first base at some point as well.
