Mountcastle’s young and slender 6-foot-3, 180-pound build stands out for a middle infielder and makes him one of the more projectable position prospects in the 2015 class. He has 6.7 speed in the 60-yard dash and plenty of arm strength for the middle infield, but may eventually outgrow shortstop in favor of third base. Mountcastle’s standout tool is his righthanded bat and especially his ability drive the ball to all fields in games against high velocity pitching.
