2008 West Uncommitted Showcase - Top Prospect List
Top Prospect List
1.) Josh Dahl, RHP, Deer Valley HS, AZ-One of the hardest throwers in his class, Josh has a loose easy arm action that produced fastballs up to 94. If Josh continues to develop his command and off-speed pitches he could attract early round draft attention in 2009.
2.) Tyler Wagner, RHP, Bishop Gorman HS, NV-A tall and athletic right-hander, Tyler showed a fastball that touched 89 with lots of projection for the future. He is fairly new to pitching, but his arm works well and he shows a good feel for his curveball. He has recently committed to Utah .
3.) Adam Farris, OF, Liberty Christian HS, TX-A top-level athlete, Adam shows the raw tools to project very well at either corner outfield position. He runs well (6.90) and has a solid swing with good bat speed and the ability to stay inside the ball well.
4.) Matthew Paradise, 3B, J Serra Catholic HS, CA-A very solid all-around player, Matthew has all the tools you look for in a third baseman. He is very sound defensively with a big arm, while also showing good bat speed and the ability to drive the ball hard consistently at the plate.
5.) Nathan Ring, MIF, Litchfield Park HS, AZ-The speed really sticks out for Nathan who posted a 6.81 sixty. He has a balanced line-drive hitting approach and the ball jumps off his bat well.
