Iowa Select Navy Edges Prodigy 6-5

In an 11 inning game, Iowa Select Navy used a sac-fly to beat Prodigy Baseball Academy by a score of 6-5. 
Joey Polak, (2016, Quincy Notre Dame, IL), a South Carolina commit, had two singles plus one RBI and a run scored. Spencer Wiskus, (2016, Iowa City West, IA) also had two singles and one RBI. Spencer Van Scoyoc, (2016, Thomas Jefferson, IA) was dominant on the mound as he pitched five innings, allowing one run on one hit and struck out 11. 
Connor Creekmore, (2016, Staley, MO) pitched seven innings, allowing one run, unearned, on five hits while striking out five. Joe Kinder, (2016, Liberty, MO) had two singles and one RBI. 

Prodigy Baseball Wins 7-0

Prodigy Baseball Academy 2018 defeated Team DeMarini/Perez by a score of 7-0. 
John Conforti, (2018, St Pius X, MO) went 2-3 with a single, a double, three RBIs and two runs scored. Mark Lachowitzer, (2018, St Pius X) had two singles plus one RBI and two runs scored. Garret Presko, (2018, Pembroke Hill, MO) pitched five scoreless innings, only allowing four hits while striking out two. 
Austin Pryblinski, (2018, Lasalle-Peru Center, IL) had two singles in three trips to the plate to lead Team DeMarini/ Perez. 

Prodigy moves on

Prodigy Baseball Academy 2016 advance to the finals in their 9-1 win over Iowa Select Royal. Mitchell McCallister (2016, Staley, MO) led the offense with three hits including a double and three RBI's.  Joe Kinder (2016, Liberty, MO) also had three singles and an RBI in the win.  Chris Kaufman (2016, Park Hill, MO) went 2 for 3 and drove in a run. Colton VanVleck (2016, Liberty, MO) shut down Iowa Select by pitching six quality innings. He walked only two and allowed five hits.

Parker Dondlinger (2016, Newman Catholic, IA) led the Royals with two hits including a double and an RBI. Cody Kellogg (2016, South Tama, IA) started and lasted three innings.  He fanned two and allowed a walk.  Luke Loecher (2017, Cedar Falls, IA) threw an inning and struck out two.  Both pitchers' fastball was in the high 70's and touched 81 mph. 

Prodigy Baseball Academy 2016 will be playing Iowa Select Navy tomorrow in the championship game.

Home runs lead Iowa Select Navy over MAP Baseball. Grant Judkins (2016, Pella, IA) had a perfect day at the plate with three hits including two homers and two RBI's. Joey Polak (2016, Quincy Notre Dame, IL) hit a grand slam in the win. Kyle Crowl (2016, Abraham Lincoln, IA) drove in two runs with a double. The pitching staff held MAP to one hit.  Hunter Lee (2016, Lincoln, IA) started and lasted a inning. He struck out one and walked one. He threw his fastball between 82-84 mph. Brody Gugat (2016, North, IA) came in for three innings.  He also struck out one but walked three. His fastball was in the low 80's and touched 82.

Charley Hesse (2016, Henry Sibley, MN) had a double for MAP in their loss.

Iowa Select Royal racked up 12 hits in their 12-0 win over Prodigy Baseball Academy 2018. Ben Norman (2016, Roosevelt, IA) led the offense with two singles and came around to score twice. Tavan Shahidi (2016, Ames, IA) had a two-run homer in the win.  Blake Elsbecker (2016, Algona, IA) went 2 for 2 with a double and two RBI's. Both Tyler Hillman (2017, Pella, IA) and Ryan Morrissey (2017, Pleasant Valley, IA) doubled in two runs. Tyler Davidson (2016, Thomas Jefferson, IA) shut down Prodigy. In four innings, he struck out six while allowing two hits. 

Karsen Reid (2018, Smithville, MO) had a single in the loss.  Grant Mertz (2018, St Pius X, MO) had the other single. 

Tuel gets a win

Nick Tuel (2016, Robbinsdale Armstrong, MN) pitched a complete game for MAP Baseball in their close 4-3 win over Team Demarini Hayes/Perez.  He struck out eight while allowing four hits and four walks. Luke Wade (2016, Minnetonka, MN) doubled in a run for MAP.  Kevin Cash (2016, Edina, MN) pitched in with a single and an RBI. 

Shravan Raghuram (2017, Naperville Central, IL) started for Demarini.  In five innings, he struck out two and only allowed three hits.  Alex Aanlytis (2017, Joliet Catholic, IL) came in next and threw 2 2/3 innings. He fanned three and gave up three hits. Dillon Perez (2017, Naperville Central, IL) tripled in a run in the loss.

Thomas Connor (2016, Liberty, MO) pitches the Prodigy Baseball Academy 2016 to a win against Team Demarini Hayes/Perez.  He struck out an impressive 11 batters while allowing two hits in five innings of work. His fastball was in the high 70's and touched 80 mph. Connor Marchand (2016, Liberty, MO) led the offense with three hits including a double and an RBI.  Joe Kinder (2016, Liberty, MO) pitched in with two singles and an RBI. 

Shravan Raghuram (2017, Naperville Central, IL) threw 1 2/3 innings for Demarini. He struck out one and allowed one hit. 

No-no for Navy

Iowa Select Navy's pitchers threw a no-hitter in their 9-0 win over Prodigy Baseball Academy 2018. Adam Ketelsen (2016, Mount Vernon, IA) started and threw an inning. He fanned one and walked one.  Kole Kampen (2016, Fort Dodge, IA) came in next and pitched four innings.  He struck out an impressive 11 batters and walked one batter. His fastball was in the mid 80's and touched 87 mph.  Joey Polak (2016, Quincy Notre Dame, IL) led the offense with two hits including a double and an home run.  Zeb Adreon (2016, Pleasantville, IA) drove in two runs with a single. 

Mikey Strong (2018, Bishop Miege, KS) pitched four innings for Prodigy.  He struck out one and allowed five hits.

Iowa Select Royal had a few big innings and went on to beat Team Demarini Hayes/Perez 8-0. Parker Dondlinger (2016, Newman Catholic, IA) led the offense with a double that drove in two runs.  Ben Norman (2016, Roosevelt, IA) also doubled in a run in the win. Jarred Wood (2017, Thomas Jefferson, IA) pitched five innings and struck out eight. He allowed two hits and two walks. His fastball was in the low 80's and touched 83 mph. 

Alex Analytis (2017, Joliet Catholic Academy, IL) started Demarini. He lasted two innings and struck out three. He threw his fastball in the low 80's and reached 82 mph.

Prodigy Baseball Academy and the Iowa Select Royal end in a 1-1 tie.

For Prodigy Baseball, Mitchell McCallister (2016, Staley HS, MO) and Trevor Wetzel (2016, Smithville HS, MO) each went 2-4 at the plate.  McCallister had a double, single and one RBI, while Wetzel finished with two singles.  John Bastarache (2016, Staley HS, MO) pitched six complete innings of work for Prodigy, giving up one earned run on eight hits, and struck out eight in the game.  He had a fastball that averaged 78-79/80 mph and mixed in a handful of off-speed pitches.

For the Select, Blake Elsbecker (2016, Algona HS, IA) and Tyler Hillman (2017, Pella HS, IA) each finished 2-3 at the plate with two singles a piece.  Hillman also had one RBI in the game too.  On the mound, Ryne Schooley (2018, Solon HS, IA) pitched four complete innings, giving up one earned run on five hits and struck out four in the game.

MAP Baseball defeated Prodigy Baseball Academy in convincing fashion, 11-4, thanks to an early 8-0 lead in the second inning and on to victory.

Hunter Lindquist (2016, Totino-Grace HS, MN) led the way for MAP, going a perfect 3-3 at the plate, with two doubles, one single, two runs scored and two RBIs in the game.  Leadoff hitter Charley Hesse (2016, Henry Sibley HS, MN) went 2-4 with a double of his own, a single and two runs scored.  Mitch Hirsch (2016, Minnetonka HS, MN) and Kevin Cash (2016, Edina HS, MN) each went 2-3 with two singles and one RBI a piece.  Hirsch also had one run scored in the game.

For Prodigy Baseball, Max Hunter (2018, Platte County HS, MO) led the way, going 2-3 with two singles and two RBIs.  Karsen Reid (2018, Smithville HS, MO) contributed with a 1-2 performance, with a single and one run scored.

The Iowa Select Navy cruised to the easy victory, defeating MAP Baseball, 8-1.

Spencer Van Scoyoc (2016, Thomas Jefferson HS, IA) led the way for the Select, going 2-2 at the plate with two doubles and two runs scored.  Kace Massner (2016, Burlington Community HS, IA) went 1-2 with a triple, two runs scored, and two RBIs in the contest.  Joey Polak (2016, Quincy Notre Dame, IL) a South Carolina commit, contributed by going 2-3 with two singles, and two runs scored.

On the mound, Alec Rickabaugh (2016, Waukee HS, IA) went four innings of work, giving up one earned run on one hit and struck out seven.  He showed competitiveness on the mound, and had a fastball that averaged 79-80/82 mph, and mixed in a good curveball and a changeup for his off-speed pitches.

For MAP, Jake Thompson (2016, Albert Lea HS, MN) sparked the offense, going 1-2 with a single and one RBI.
