National High School Top 50: June 2

We have come to the end of another high school season, and as such, it's time for the final edition of the Perfect Game High School team rankings.

Having been No. 1 for several weeks after an incredible season that saw them win the Georgia 6A State Championship, the Parkview Panthers of Lilburn, Ga., are the No. 1 team to close out the 2015 season. With a record of 34-2 and absolute domination of their competition across the entire season, we felt that they were the obvious choice to remain No. 1 and finish the year as the top-ranked high school team. A huge congratulations are in order to Coach Chan Brown, the rest of the Parkview staff and the players and team as a whole on an incredible season.

It's well known that Parkview is a perennial baseball powerhouse, not only within the state of Georgia or even within the Southeast region, but on a National level as well. Regardless of their past accomplishments or the overall prestige of their program, winning a state championship in the rough-and-tumble Georgia 6A is no small feat, and Parkview deserves to be recognized for such a season. Congrats again, from all of us at Perfect Game.

At our last ranking, only the state of Texas had yet to decide their state champion. It's only fitting that the 6A "Final Four" included four of our Top 50 teams, with eventual champ Cypress Ranch, eventual runner-up Arlington Martin and other semifinalists Dallas Jesuit and Laredo Alexander rounding out those four teams. All four teams remain in our Top 50, and deservedly so.
