Dalton Doyle is a 2017 RHP/3B with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from Olathe, KS who attends Olathe North HS. Medium frame, thick build. Present strength and solid lower half build. Arches back into release to get on top of baseball from a near overtop slot on the mound. Good lower half use with a high energy release. Developing command on fastball that creates occasional running action, topped at 88 mph. Flashed a straight change up with deceptive arm speed at 76 mph. Curveball shows quality depth with swing and miss potential at 72 mph. Mixes all three pitchs well while be aggresive in the strike zone. Right handed hitter with a straight stance and large leg lift trigger. Hands load to a deep postion while maintaining rhythmn with the lower half. Coils top half on load to create torque on swing. Swings hard with intent and shows the strength to drive gaps. Worked out defensively from the infield showing solid arm strength. Loose arm action across the infield from with an overtop slot, topped at 84mph. Creates plus carry on ball with accuary. Smooth footwork while surrounding the baseball. Defensive tool set projects at third base. Named to 2016 National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List. Very good student as well.
