2016 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Jarret Eaton is a 2018 2B/SS with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Mobile, AL who attends St. Paul's Episcopal HS. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 6.67 sixty-yard dash. Primary second baseman with smooth, athletic footwork while traveling to and working through the baseball. Flashed good range to each side with the ability to throw while on the run. Funnels the baseball cleanly out front with smooth glove actions. Showed some arm strength across the infield with staying in line to the bag and creating momentum, topped at 81 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with a balanced, open stance and high back elbow set. Stays behind contact with a simple, repeatable line drive swing plane. Primarily worked to the middle of the field but also flashed the hand and barrel skills to work to all fields as well. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition.
