Cobi Sabo is a 2016 3B/SS with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Homewood, IL who attends Homewood Flossmoor. Wiry build with present strength. Slightly open stance at the plate and creates coil with the top half at load. Matches plane well and has barrel control in the zone. Creates bats speed and has present strength to swing with a gap to gap approach. Blanced throughout swing with ability to keep barrel in zone showing good extension. Swing projects. Fields cleanly in the outfield and works through ball well into transition. Shows fluidity in actions with present arm strength and accurate online carry to bag on throws. Topped at 84 mph. Also pitched showing an overtop arm slot with good extenstion on release and some spine tilt. Fastball has some arm side movement when getting downhill ranging from 77-78 mph, topped at 79 mph. Curveball shows good depth with 11/5 shape and creates a shorter arm action on offering. Arm angle drops at times on offspeed and creates more of a sweeping action on curveball. Curveball topped at 68 mph. Very good student as well.
