Austin Buttenob is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Taylorsville, UT who attends Taylorsville. Medium frame, lean athletic build. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot with a long arm action and extended release. Kept all three pitches around the strike zone, deliberate paced delivery, gets extended out front. Fastball velocity slow climbed at beginning of outing, worked heavily off of fastball in first couple of innings before making an effort to showcase secondary stuff, offspeed may be a bit sharper when less fatigued. Good shape on 12-6 curveball with vertical break and good depth, good arm side fade on changeup with deceptive arm speed. Good student. Named to the Sunshine West Top Prospect Team.
