Ekolu Watanabe is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 5-7 150 lb. frame from Wailuku, HI who attends Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus. Small frame, lean build. Pitches from a three quarters arm slot with a short compact arm action. Kept fastball down in the strike zone well and mixed his pitches well to keep hitters off balance and hides the baseball well behind body throughout his delivery. Fluid arm stroke, 1-7 break on curveball with depth, good balance to low effort delivery. Selective approach at the plate with a short swing.
