Jimmy Boyce is a 2016 RHP/3B/1B with a 6-0 210 lb. frame from North Bend, WA who attends Eastside Catholic HS. Thick barrel chested build, strong look. Long arm action with a big wrap in back, extended 3/4's arm slot, tends to slow body and lengthen arm action on off speed pitches. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 86 mph, flat running action and occasional sink to fastball. Throws lots of off-speed pitches, big soft curveball with good depth at times, very slow change up with gravity sink, mixes everything up and throws strikes with all three pitches and will use in any sequence. Improvement of arm/body speed on off-speed pitches key to his development. Background of pitching for New Zealand age group national teams an interesting twist.
