Ben Anderson is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from LaGrange, GA who attends Lagrange HS. Slender young build, narrow hips and shoulders, will always be a lean athlete. Left handed hitter, very spread stance, high hand set, has good balance and shortness to his swing, handles the barrel well and hits to all fields, high average type approach, 6.86 runner and will beat out some infield hits as well, runs the bases hard and is quick out of the box. Showed good arm strength in the outfield with carry to his throws. Also pitched, high 3/4's arm slot, swings the gate open with his front leg and not consistent with his direction, very compact arm action. Upper 70's fastball, has been up to 85-86 mph in tournaments this summer, mostly straight, did not throw a breaking ball. Very good student.
