Dejuan Vandyke is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-3 210 lb. frame from Fayetteville, GA who attends Dutchtown HS. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and long limbs,2 plenty of physical strength throughout athletic frame. Ran a 7.26 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a high leg lift up past belt which helps create deception and hides the ball, remains balanced and tall on backside before generating extension out front with a lower three-quarters arm slot. Ball comes out of hand cleanly, slot helps generate consistent run and sink to fastball which topped out at 84 mph. Quick arm and creates angel to glove side with fastball, shows ability to locate to either side and can make for an uncomfortable at-bat. Lower slot at release on slider at times but can throw for consistent strikes, short tilting 10-4 shape at 75 mph. Curveball featured depth from similar arm slot. Good student.
