Matthew Banks is a 2015 RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Modesto, CA who attends Central Catholic. Medium fame, thick build with defined muscular structure and developing present strength. Pitches from a three quarters arm slot with a long arm action in back and a compact release. Big hand break with wide separation, good use of glove arm to generate arm speed though tends to pull open a bit early. Hides the ball well behind body throughout delivery, curveball shows depth but lacks power at lower velocity but should begin to sharpen as he matures physically and throws harder. Good student.
