Jonjon Conahan is a 2018 MIF/OF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Teaneck, NJ who attends Millbrook HS. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 6.89 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front, shows quickness to footwork and moves well to either side, charges in well with balance, gets on top of throws from compact arm action, has carry and strength across, sound transfer. Showed well from outfield, fields out front and moves well to ball, upright release, short and compact arm action with strength and carry out of hand. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high back elbow and upright stance in the box, uses a high leg lift trigger for timing. Open stance and does a nice job to get closed moving into contact, shows quickness to hands and able to generate bat speed through the zone. Line drive swing plane, long stride at start of swing, occasionally hits off back side at times, shows jump off the barrel to pull side when squared and on time. Good student.
