William Crowe is a 2015 OF/LHP with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Marietta. Large, athletic build with broad shoulders and a lean, projectable build with strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.64 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball with sound footwork and gets behind the ball well, strong throws with very good accuracy to intended base with carry on throws from a live arm action. Also pitched, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a short and quick arm action in the back. High leg raise delivery, stays tall on back side, gets across body at release which allows him to create angle on fastball which topped out at 81 mph, filling up the strike zone with occasional run to arm side. Generates 1-7 shape on curveball at 74 mph and induced ground ball contact chopped into the ground. Left-handed hitter, uses a leg kick trigger for timing, shows quick hands and good bat speed with a line drive swing plane. Shows strength in swing when squared with a slight upper, creates some lift at contact to pull side. Good student.
