Aaron Halpert is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Diamond Bar, CA who attends Diamond Bar. Compact frame, athletic well coordinated body. Quick defensive action, attacks the baseball well and works through it effectively, soft hands and quick release, quality second base tools for the next level if arm strength doesn't develop to a level adequate for the left side of the infield. Hits from a crouched slightly open stance, pull approach with a low hand set, long aggressive swing with solid bat speed, additional strength will allow him better control and feel for barrel location within hitting zone, has underlying hand-eye coordination present already. Also pitched, ran fastball up to 77 from high three quarters arm slot with good balance and momentum to delivery. Good student. Named to the Sunshine West Top Prospect Team.
