Thomas Orr is a 2016 SS with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Deerfield Beach, FL who attends Calvary Christian Academy. Medium, athletic build with present strength on frame and room to fill out with more. Ran a 7.60 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, fields the ball well out front, shows strength on throws across from a quick release, sound athletic actions to and through the ball, hands work well, balanced when charging in. Right-handed hitter, starts with a slightly open stance with an upper body swing. Nice rhythm and tempo, short bat path to the ball, consistent line drive swing plane with occasional lift to pull side. Shows a nice feel for the barrel with quick hands and extension out front. Excellent student.
