Griffin Mazur is a 2015 C/3B with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Moorpark, CA who attends Moorpark. Medium frame, strong athletic build. Continues to show development, chance to become a very interesting prospect. Low hand set, aggressive swing, quiet approach in the box, strong at contact, good bat speed, beginning to show power and has more to come. Showed an advanced feel for hitting in live ABs, good decisions at the plate, able to make adjustments throughout AB. Good carry on throws, arm strength is an asset, good blocker with lateral agility behind the plate, already shows some feel for finer points of receiving behind the plate. Interesting young catcher to follow. Good student.
