Tommy Doyle is a 2014 RHP with a 6-6 210 lb. frame from Vienna, VA who attends Flint Hill HS. Tall square shouldered build, very projectable physically. Slow paced high hand delivery, keeps his delivery simple and repeats well, compact quick arm action, high 3/4's release, gets downhill very well and has deception. Fastball to 91 mph, more velocity in there, velocity plays up and fastball gets on hitters quickly due to deception, mostly straight with good angle. Upper 70's curveball has power, good bite and depth, very consistent release point, did not throw change but has shown one in the past. Big and projectable with two quality present pitches and the ability to throw strikes, lots to like. Good student, verbal commitment to Virginia.
