Abbot Haffar is a 2017 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Simi Valley, CA who attends Simi Valley. Large frame, lean young body with room to fill for added strength as he matures physically. Pitches from a three quarters arm slot with a long loose arm action. Quick arm, good extension out front, showed good feel for both the fastball and curveball and flashed solid changeup. Interesting young pitching prospect who projects well. Also showed a short swing at the plate with quick hands. Carries momentum well through outfield throws as well. Good student. Named to the Sunshine West Top Prospect Team.
