2013 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Nate Dupree is a 2015 LHP/1B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Lassiter HS. Large frame, tall, medium athletic build with some room to fill. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot with a loose arm action. Good life on fastball, worked heavily off of it and threw it for strikes. Flashed quality changeups and changed speeds effectively, 1-7 curveball with depth, arm projects well. Good hands defensively at first base, big target for infielders to throw to, accurate throws from first and in outfield workout. Long loose swing, good raw strength, some feel for controlling barrel in swing, doesn't get much use from lower half in swing at this point, has tools to develop as a hitter, though upside is likely highest on the mound. Good student, named to the National Underclass Main Event top prospect team.
