Nathan Silva is a 2019 LHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Katy, TX who attends Seven Lakes HS. Crossfire delivery on the mound with a low 3/4's arm slot, hides the ball well and has lots of deception, lots going on mechanically but athletic enough to hold it together, creates lots of angle to the plate, works exclusively from the stretch. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 77 mph, mostly straight. Curveball has good 1/7 shape even from his lower release and nice spin and depth, shows very good feel for his curveball. Change up has good arm speed and some sinking action. Pounded the strike zone and got lots of weak contact. Executes his approach very well. 7.08 runner, has quick actions and a quick release from the outfield, makes accurate throws. Hits from an tall open stance with a short inside swing path, consistent mid to opposite field contact. Good student.
