Ryan Aspinwall is a 2015 RHP/3B with a 6-1 178 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Trinity Christian Academy. Large, athletic build with a lean, projectable frame and room to fill out with added strength. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with a short and quick arm action coming through the back side. Uses a full delivery with a slight hip turn at the top, hides the ball well and generates some downhill plane to his pitches while finishing on line towards the plate. Fastball comes out clean and easy topping 85 mph, showing the ability to get low to glove side with life and fill up the strike zone. Maintains arm slot on curveball well, slows arm speed a bit but generates 11-5 life on the pitch with a nice feel for it at 66 mph. Shows athletic actions in the infield with an easy arm action across and quick hands up the middle, can throw from multiple slots. Has a short and compact swing from the right side with a sound approach, has comfort to hit to all fields and ability to go with the pitch. Named to Southeast Top Prospect List. Good student.
