Geoff McCalley is a 2016 OF/2B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Scripps Ranch HS. Compact strong athletic build. Left handed hitter, busy hand load, keeps hands tight to his body, big glide/shift into contact, strong quick swing, has some pull and lift in his approach while staying short to the ball, consistent solid game contact, ball comes off the barrel hard. Sound fundamental actions in the outfield, charges the ball well, good footwork, makes accurate on line throws, also has some experience at second base. Good student.
