Dominic Tamez is a 2019 C/3B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Golden, CO who attends Dakota Ridge HS. Strong and compact athletic build, pretty physically mature for his age. Right handed hitter, calm and composed approach at the plate, not much wasted movement, moves to the ball well, long and hard aggressive swing, lots of present bat speed and middle of the field power, will get out front at times and be over anxious but should be able to handle high end velocity at the next level. Good lower half athleticism on defense, 7.12 runner, stays low and shifts well, has quick feet, exceptional arm strength for his age, tends to rush throws at times, has all the tools to stay behind the plate for a long time. Very polished player for his age, plays with confidence. Verbal commitment to Arkansas. Good student.
