Devin Roche is a 2018 C/1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Fort Lauderdale, FL who attends St Thomas Aquinas. Large frame, broad shoulders, sturdy build with present strength, physicality. Right handed hitter, high hands set with slightly open stance. Extended hand load, can be late with front foot at times, but shows impressive strength. Has good bat speed, rotational swing with pullside approach, loud contact off the barrel, has good hitting tools to work with. Primary catcher, looks the part behind the plate. Receives the ball well, developing footwork, solid exchange and transfer, accurate throws to bases, popped as low as 2.08 seconds in workouts. Very good student. Named to Showcase Top Prospect List.
