Ryan Shiffer is a 2015 C/IF, OF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Toms River, NJ who attends Toms River South. Large, athletic frame with a strong build and some room to fill out. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, receives out front, gets body in a good position, short lower arm slot on throws, stands tall at throws, uses lower half to gain some ground on throws, accurate to the base, sticks it well with framing. Right-handed batter, starts with an upright stance, a high hand set and a balanced set. Upper half swing, strong hands, pull side approach, shows a nice feel for the barrel, stays in control of swing, has potential for more power in swing. Outstanding student.
