Andrew Burden is a 2015 OF/LHP with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Sharpsburg, GA who attends Northgate. Medium, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build and room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 6.95 60-yard dash, runs well in game. Primary outfielder, uses a small crow hop to gain momentum, quick transfer on throws from an over the top arm slot with good footwork to the ball, accurate throws with carry and arm strength that projects. Also pitched, throws from a three-quarter arm slot with an easy arm action coming through, creating angle on the pitch. Short arm action, stays balanced throughout delivery with the ball leaving cleanly, gets on top of fastball, topped at 80 mph with slight run to arm side. Projects for more with incorporation of lower half. Curveball shows 1-7 life with tight spin and flashes a changeup at 70 mph. Left-handed hitter, shows a contact approach in the box and gets the barrel through the zone, opens front side early at times, creates contact to pull side and projects well with added strength. Outstanding student.
